Posted August 11Aug 11 This sucks. Waiting for news. Speculation is a possible Achilles injury or ankle roll. Waiting for word.
August 11Aug 11 This really sucks...I'm concerned it's something serious because players took a knee...which typically indicates a potential serious injury (players seem to know). This will be a big blow to our OL. I guess we will have to hope Matt Pryor can fill in good enough. No other IOL on the roster that gives me any confidence...which is kinda odd considering Stoutland U. But, who is there besides Pryor? Keegan seems like a bust. Kendall might be a Center-only...and that's if he's any good at that. Kenyon Green? Not confident there either.

He's buried on the depth chart, and the guys in front of him aren't that good.Hopefully, it's not serious, and Dickerson will be fine.FWIW, Matt Pryor's 2024 PFF ranking is surprisingly good. He started with the Bears and was ranked 10th overall in pass blocking.

Hopefully he is "good enough" if Dickerson misses extensive time. But do they play him at RG and move Steen to LG or just plug Pryor in at LG?Howie could look to trade for someone and then there will be cut downs soon so who knows who could become available.
August 11Aug 11 Never liked Pryor, not when he was here the first time, hes a a big slow footed plodder whose best skill is just standing up and having his big body be in the way, hes a speed bump at best.Hope Dickerson is ok but its not looking good ☹️

Serviceable doesn't really mean as a seventeen game starter but right now he is the next best OG.
August 11Aug 11 Optimistically, I feel like the longer we don't hear anything, the better it is. I don't know, but I just feel like if it were bad, we'd have an update by now.I could be wrong, of course...

The Eagles are figuring out the messaging that this is season ending.

Guys go down to season-ending injuries all the time and the message is always "he's out for the season."
August 11Aug 11 "Good or bad? Options tells me surgery."Not necessarily. I think options means surgery is an option. Even a slightly torn meniscus can heal on it's own.4 to 6 weeks with no surgery is probably the best we could hope for.
August 11Aug 11 I think it's good news. As I understand, a meniscus can be healed with surgery in less than 6 weeks. If he doesn't get surgery, it will take longer.

The fact he’s weighing up the options etc suggests he could maybe be back say late September? But it leaves us with a big problem because RG isn’t exactly secure and a strength.
August 11Aug 11 I think we dodged a bullet. We don't know how many weeks he'll be out, but I seriously doubt it's a season-ending injury.

August 12Aug 12 We don’t have a quality back-up at guard like we did last year with Steen because Keegan and Green haven’t worked out so far. In next year’s draft, we should be able to add an offensive lineman or two in rounds 3 or 4 who could be quality back-ups with all the picks we have.
