This defense is no longer a # 1 defense. Not without Slay and CJGJ. Top 10 sure. # 1 remains to be seen.

No one is the top defense week 1 but I'm pretty sure we'll be one of the top defenses by week 8. The disrespect is palpable and, quite frankly, expected. A lot of the predictions have the Eagles making it to the Super Bowl but losing to everyone including the Denver Broncos.

As has been said before, that's why they play the game. Did most of the yammering class expect the Chiefs to get dismantled last February? Some picked the Eagles to win but in such a dominant fashion? None that I can recall.

Agreed. I can see some QBs (like Dakota, tonight), ripping up the Iggles Secondary. At least until things get settled in the back part of our D. Which could take weeks, like it did last season.

If defensive line can get pressure, I think Eagles will hold up in secondary. Could be a lot more blitzes. If they don’t get there could be a long night. Better to have offense have long drives and eat clock. Expect TEs and RBs to have more catch’s then WRs.

And this is my worry! We just don’t know what to expect from the DL outside of Carter. There’s hope and there’s potential but we don’t know what we are going to get from them. And if we don’t get pressure it’s going to be a long season for that secondary.

I think Fangio will do anything to generate a pass rush.......if the D-line struggles to get to Prescott, I expect more blitzes, moving guys around....
