Where have I ever claimed that I don’t see anything abnormal about what Trump does? Not even sure what you are talking about. I’m against the way he’s been using the national guard. But that doesn’t mean that when some effing nutjob murders two national guard members that I blame Trump.

The National Guard has been a godsend in DC. An absolute godsend.

As someone who could feasibly jog to the White House from my home, who actually owns commercial property in DC, who eats out down town fairly often, the entire city was totally out of control crime wise.

DuPont Circle, for instance, had a series of stabbings from 2024 to 2025. If you’re not familiar with the city, it’s part of the "golden triangle” along with the White House and K Street, and is full of restaurants and shops with high foot traffic.

To have the level of crime and vagrancy in this area was a national embarrassment to say nothing of driving down economic activity.

People can **** and moan about optics all they want. The fact of the matter is SH** LIBS basically legalized crime in our major cities and this went a long way towards fixing it in our capital.

At some point you have to ask yourself what even is the point of having a government if they won’t combat crime?

Well it should be up to local and state governments to combat crime. Of course DC is different in that is not a state, but using US armed forces to patrol streets should only be used in an emergency.

It’s not going a long way to fixing crime. That’s one of my problems with it. You can’t solve a problem unless the root cause of that problem is addressed. Sending the national guard into cities temporarily does nothing to address the root cause of the problem. It’s a temporary bandaid. So what’s going to happen when the guard’s deployment ends?

It literally is solving it. More policing is an actual solution and has been proven to work throughout all of history.

This isn’t rocket science. You flood the zone with muscle to enforce the law and crime goes down. You lock up criminals for long periods of time, or execute them, and crime goes down.

Those are the two viable options. Shitlibs control the courts, so they will never lock up criminals. So the only viable solution is physical power, and I’m telling you that I’ve watched it work with my own eyes. It’s a night and day difference.
