QB Kyle McCord: The Eagles waived their sixth-round quarterback but they are still interested in developing him. While McCord didn’t do enough to make the roster, he did show some positive signs this training camp. (Tom Pelissero)

"I think he did some good things and promising things through camp,” head coach Nick Sirianni said. "Obviously, we liked him enough to draft him onto this football team. I always battle with that myself of how much opportunity can you give your three's? He shows good promise of where to go with the football consistently. And again, we're looking at everything-- practices, meetings, games, all the things. He has the ability to be accurate, and he does a lot of good things.”

TE E.J. Jenkins: After electing to keep Kylen Granson over Jenkins as the TE3, the Eagles were able to bring Jenkins back to the practice squad. There’s a chance he could see some time this season. (Andrew DiCecco)

S Andre Sam: The Eagles elected to keep just four safeties. Had they kept five, Sam would have been the guy. He’s a first-year player from LSU who has some promise and performed well in this training camp. (Andrew DiCecco)

OLB Patrick Johnson: It seems possible that Johnson just missed the cut making the 53-man roster. In fact, he made the team last year but was then waived after Week 1. Johnson was drafted by the Eagles in the seventh round out of Tulane in 2021 and is an excellent special teams player. (signed to active roster 9/8) (re-signed to the practice squad on 11/5)

CB Eli Ricks: The former UDFA from Alabama and LSU was on the Eagles’ roster the last two seasons but was a victim of a numbers crunch this summer after the Eagles acquired Jakorian Bennett. Ricks played significant snaps as a rookie in 2023. (released from practice squad 8/29, re-signed to the practice squad on 9/3) (released from the practice squad 9/10) (re-signed to the practice squad on 9/24) (released from the practice squad on 10/2) (re-signed to the practice squad on 10/3) (released from the practice squad on 10/13)

OLB Antwaun Powell-Ryland: The sixth-round pick from Virginia Tech was really productive in college but that didn’t translate in his first NFL training camp. APR did have an impressive sack in the third preseason game. That was a moment where he looked to have developable traits. (released from the practice squad on 9/5) (re-signed to the practice squad 10/1) (released from the practice squad on 10/2) (re-signed to the practice squad 10/3) (released from the practice squad 11/8)

OG Kenyon Green: The former first-round pick came to Philadelphia as part of the return in the C.J. Gardner-Johnson trade. Green dealt with a couple different injuries in training camp and wasn’t very impressive even when he was on the field. But he has tools that led to him being a first-round pick in 2022 and it would make sense that OL coach Jeff Stoutland wants more time with him. (signed to active roster 8/31)

CB Parry Nickerson: The 30-year-old nickel cornerback had another strong training camp but there just wasn’t room for him on the roster, even after his acrobatic interception in the preseason finale. Nickerson has been in the league for a long time but hasn’t played very much in recent seasons. (signed to active roster 9/24) (re-signed to the practice squad on 10/28)

WR Terrace Marshall: The former Panthers second-round pick seemed to have a shot at the Eagles’ roster in 2025 but he missed time this summer with a knee injury and wasn’t able to make up that ground. If there ever was an injury, Marshall’s experience could make him an ideal elevation. (released from the practice squad 8/29) (re-signed to the practice squad on 8/31) (released from the practice squad 11/4)

WR Elijah Cooks: The former Jaguars receiver got off to a white-hot start in training camp, making plays every day, but then he suffered a shoulder injury in the first preseason game. Cooks (6-4, 215) was making some acrobatic catches that first week. (released from the practice squad on 9/3)

CB Brandon Johnson: Johnson is a feisty nickel cornerback from Oregon who worked his way up the depth chart this summer, eventually passing the veteran Nickerson. Johnson made some plays in training camp.

OL Hollin Pierce: Pierce was signed as a UDFA out of Rutgers. In college, he played offensive tackle but he mostly played guard for the Eagles in training camp. Pierce (6-8, 341) has a frame worth keeping around. (released from the practice squad on 9/3) (re-signed to the practice squad on 9/8)

TE Cameron Latu: The former third-round pick came to the Eagles after spending time with the 49ers and Browns. Latu has never played in a regular season game despite being drafted in the third round out of Alabama in 2023. (signed to active roster 8/31)

LB Chance Campbell: The Eagles didn’t bring Campbell in until Aug. 20 so he must have made a good impression pretty quickly. Campbell (6-2, 232) was a sixth-round pick out of Ole Miss in 2022 and played in four games with the Titans in 2023.

OT Luke Felix-Fualalo: International Player Pathway representative

WR Britain Covey

S Marcus Epps (signed to active roster 8/31)

RB Audric Estime (released from the practice squad on 10/14)

CB Ambry Thomas (released from the practice squad on 11/13) (re-signed to the practice squad 11/14)

WR Javon Baker: Former fourth round pick of the Patriots (2024) (released from the practice squad on 10/14)

RB Montrell Johnson (re-signed to the practice squad on 9/8) (released from the practice squad 9/9)

C/G Jake Majors (signed to the practice squad 9/9)

DT Jakob Sykes (signed to the practice squad 9/10) (released from the practice squad 9/11) (re-signed to the practice squad 10/2) (released from the practice squad on 10/3)

DT Gabe Hall (signed to the practice squad 9/11)

WR Quez Watkins (signed to the practice squad 9/24)

LB Lance Dixon (signed to the practice squad 9/24) (released from the practice squad on 9/30)

DE KJ Henry (re-signed to the practice squad 10/2 ... he was originally signed to practice squad in late 2024, signed a reserve/future contract here in Feb, then waived in July and claimed by Cleveland) (released from the practice squad on 10/3)

CB Tariq Castro-Fields (signed to the practice squad 10/13)

TE Jaheim Bell (signed to the practice squad 10/15) (released from the practice squad on 10/21)

DE Titus Leo (signed to the practice squad 10/15) (released from the practice squad on 10/27) (re-signed to the practice squad 11/13) (released from the practice squad on 11/14)

OG Sua Opeta (signed to the practice squad 10/22) (released from the practice squad on 11/3)

WR Danny Gray (signed to the practice squad 11/3)

DT Ta'Quon Graham (signed to the practice squad 11/8)

Removed Estime's name from the list on post #1. His name was not included on the latest list, despite the earlier report:

Landon Dickerson, A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith practiced, while plenty of Eagles got new jersey numbers.

And he is not listed on PE.com's list either:

Being reported we've signed CB Ambry Thomas to the practice squad.

Eagles add former 3rd-round pick to practice squad amid c...

The Eagles continued to add secondary depth Thursday evening with the addition of former 3rd-round pick Ambry Thomas to the practice squad.

We seem to have an affinity for former SF 3rd rd picks. Hopefully he fares better than the previous few.

No official news about Estime or Thomas. They'll have to let someone go oif they sigh either of them.

If they do sign Estime my guess is that one of the tight ends (probably Latu) would be cut

In Thomas' case a CB makes sense since keeping 4 on the practice squad makes no sense at all. Nickerson is 30, but a popular team guy; Brandon Johnson has potential; and Ricks is good on special teams, My guess - Brandon Johnson

Eli Ricks re-signed to the practice squad.

Hollin Thomas released to open the spot for Ricks.

T2R - with all of Howie's machinations plus the Birds website sometimes missing moves, I'll bet it's not easy to keep up with this. Thanks

Gabe Hall is back (added to the PS). Jakob Sykes released to open the spot for Hall. Post #1 updated.

With Nolan Smith, Jakorian Bennett, and Darius Cooper going to IR, 3 of the practice squad members were elevated to the active 53 (Marcus Epps, Cameron Latu, and Parry Nickerson).

Filling those openings on the practice squad are Eli Ricks, Quez Watkins, and LB Lance Dixon,

LB Lance Dixon released from the practice squad. No corresponding move to fill the vacant spot has been made yet. (I imagine it will be a pass rusher).

T2R was right. It was their own draft pick Antuan Powell-Ryland.

BTW - as of this morning 10/2 there is an open spot on the active roster. Maybe seeing how Nakobe looks and he'll be activated.

Powell-Ryland's return to the practice squad was short-lived (1 day). Released yesterday (along with Eli Ricks) to open spots to bring back KJ Henry and Jacob Sykes. Post #1 updated.

APR and Ricks both came back today.

This latest confusing move must be driving you crazy. Sign two on 10/2 and release them the nest day. I watch the transactions on the Eagles website and trying to figure out the what's and why's of Howies's practice squad moves baffles me.

Cut and sign the next day

HA prepare to be even more confused!

I just think this is Howie’s way of indirectly extending the practice squad beyond 16 (or 17 in our case since we have an IPP representative). He yo-yos players on and off the PS frequently in order to keep them all in the loop.
