The Kimmel thing is all sorts of screwed up. First, Kimmel didn't say anything that was disparaging to Charlie Kirk. He criticized the right-wing response to his murder. This must have hit some Disney exec really hard in the fee-fees. So they suspend his show, no warning. The execs blame the federal government because they were afraid of retaliation. Then the federal government comes out with their own statements. Instead of taking the high road, refuting any allegations and supporting freedom of speech and freedom of the press; they pour gasoline on the fire! Oh no suspension isn't enough, they might take further action! In the end Kimmel will come back likely with even greater viewership than before. MAGA thinks this is all great again! I think this is a step towards censorship and government sponsored media. We should be cautious.
