The thing is that Brown is just contributing to the frustration that the whole offense feels.....going public, going on social media is just a chicken-sh-- way to express your frustration and concern.

These are supposed to be "professional" athletes but they act like high school prima donnas.

I hate when a team has to coddle a player or tolerate his tantrums.

I’m putting trust in Howie on this one. I believe that the Eagles likely won’t trade him until the offseason, but if they do the situation must be untenable. Still they took the largest cap hit in NFL history to dump Wentz so I’m sure whatever they’re going to do, they will overcome it.

They didn't really have as many big contracts on the books and coming up when they took the cap hit for Wentz and their super bowl window was slammed shut. They have multiple highest paid players on the roster now and have some coming up in the next year or 2 that will get big money. They can't afford the cap hit this time and a wide open super bowl window. They can't waste cap space on guys not here like they did then.

If Brown REALLY wants to be traded he will be traded. All he has to do is tell the talking heads that he and Hurts can't co-exist and either Hurts goes or he goes. He can trash the coaching staff saying they are clueless and don't know how to use him. This will get him traded, cap hit or no cap hit.

If the above doesn't work he can be a "soft holdout" in training camp with some phantom injury that won't allow him to practice. We see that every year with various players.

So I look at it as the ball is in Brown's court. The Eagles will not put up with those shenanigans and he will be gone.

The f'cked up thing is ... we're winning. We are sitting here at 6-2 ... only 2 teams with a better record. I get he "just wants to contribute" but if the way we win leads to a championship, how can you let that get to you? The ultimate goal is to win a championship and it takes every team member that hits that field to do what they need to do to make that happen.

that's the thing here, we trade him away, we struggle and we are back to this we need a number 1 receiver crap again when we got rid of t.o like the haters have to grow a thick skin and deal with it because the titans got rid of brown and look how they are playing now, i dont know how fans are saying we were better off without t.o and ten plus years of crap and it's going to same thing with brown if we get of him. if they want brown gone, come up a replacement, that will be just as good as him. and here's the thing number 1 receivers are always like this.

There should be no trade talk because the team isn't talking trade, Aj isn't requesting a trade. This is media driven derived from early season offensive struggles. He's Tweeting, Instagramming. Is it annoying and somewhat childishly cryptic? Sure. Should he have his captaincy revoked over this??? Nooo.

If AJ truly wanted out he'd rework his deal so Howie could trade him. He just wants some passes his way. The squeaky wheel gets the grease, and drives the EMB bananas.

Bad teams beat good teams all the time. This is a small sample size. It wasn’t long ago people hung onto the fact that we had never beaten Tampa without AJ in the Hurts/Sirianni era. In three games without AJ last year, the offense was terrible. In 2021 pre AJ, we were a mediocre 9-8 team that beat zero playoff teams all season. AJ is still critical to the success of this team.

He’s causing drama where it doesn’t need to be made! Sure he’s frustrated and we all get that but he doesn’t need to be so public and vocal about it. Just get on with your job and go about your business and keep it internal. And in our 2 losses i think we had bigger issues than the passing game (though I’m not saying the pass game was good or absolved of blame).

I think this would be true when we had guys like Zacchaeus, Covey and washed up Julio Jones as WR3/4, I think when your 3 and 4 are first and second round picks as well you have a better chance of keeping the offense rolling, I think Smitty is plenty good enough to play WR1.

I like AJ and hope he gets happy again, but he had 200 yards and multiple TD's over his last 2 games and still looked like he'd caught his wife in bed with the offensive line.

Sidenote: this would have been the perfect opportunity to include Peters too if he was still here.

I'm just saying that I would not trade him now. But, if possible, I would definitely entertain the idea in the off season.

Either way, I don't think they are repeating as SB champs. GB and Detroit seem to be on a mission.

AJ could shut all the speculation down if he wanted to with a simple tweet or a quick interview. He must be enjoying it. One of the few instances where winning doesn't cure everything apparently.
