AJ Brown approached Hurts to congratulate him and they both said nice things to each other. But I guess your version is more fun!

Good guy but too much drama vs performance and salary for my likes.

I seriously don't care about facial expressions or media-generated pseudo-drama. I care about performance, dedication and hard work. I know there are critics accusing AJ of letting up on some routes, but I've seen film from the last 3 seasons where all the WRs including Smith were jogging routes on RPOs they expected to be runs. Those lead to wasted downs. It's not just an AJ thing, though.
November 1, 2025Nov 1 A first for everything. Let’s move on from a great receiver who helps us win because of…facial expressions.

November 3, 2025Nov 3 I really cannot believe that I keep posting in this thread. I must love the verbal punishment that other posters are dishing out to me. If he's truly unhappy here, and only (secretly) cares about 'dominating' and his WR stats, then the Iggles just have to kick the tires on what you might be able to get for him this Off-Season.
November 11, 2025Nov 11 The packers gave AJ a lot of attention --- and that played a huge part in our TD to Smith. I really don't think Brown minds not getting the ball when teams are dedicating 2 guys to cover him. I just think it frustrates him when the offense doesn't seem to be able to take advantage of that much of the time. IMO, Hurts was just off tonight. It wasn't his best game with ball placement on throws. The cold temperatures and slick field could have contributed, but he was just having an off night for him. With Barkley also bottled up all night, it just made for a low scoring game. The defense came to play and we got enough to win on the road.

This may sound harsh ---- I really like having him on the team --- But it's time to relieve him of the captain badge. If AJ had a QB like Kirk Cousins, he would probably be in the conversation for league MVP. Of course, his production would be the entire offense on a team that would need a lot of help getting to the postseason and in reality never really go anywhere. But he'd have a QB that would be all in on his personal production. But a team needs captains that bring stability and cohesion to the team, that emphasize the importance of doing whatever is expected, not a player that expresses frustration at non-team outlets. His contract makes him nearly impossible to move without taking a big hit. The Eagles would need to look for a similar player in a similar situation on another team where they would eat most of that player's contract in return. Or AJ could pay back money on his current contract to facilitate an off season trade with a restructure of some sort. Otherwise all these antics are only hurting his own situation. Teams are zeroing in on the situation and game-planning to take him out, hoping his frustrations lead to an implosion. The Eagles are still the team to beat to most of the NFL. As a captain, he should be mature enough to understand this. Every time he opens his mouth, even if he's completely being misunderstood, he makes his own path harder and that negatively affects the team.

Every time he opens his mouth, even if he's completely being misunderstood, he makes his own path harder and that negatively affects the team.I don't really think the production part is fair, at least in terms of needing a bunch of help to get to the postseason. With the way Vic's defenses have been, there's a lot of people that could, especially with this roster that we have. On the captain part, I kind of get what you mean, but I think before that happens, there needs to be a consideration of becoming a more disciplined team.Eagles are soft on players from the top down because they're still dealing with the PTSD of Chip Kelly. The focus on Emotional Intelligence, as Lurie (I think it was Lurie not Roseman?) once put it is good, but the extreme end of that is a lack of discipline in terms of dictating to the players what needs to be done. To me, that's what the offense reeks of. It reeks of not enough ability to tell players what is demanded to start on this team's offense, and I think that problem comes from the top. Otherwise, all these times Hurts doesn't let go of a ball the right time, where Brown lets up on a route, all these things would be corrected with some strictness on film. I've mentioned this before, but as much as I wasn't his fan, Tom Coughlin wouldn't let his players get away with that, probably regardless of what the Mara family thought. I'm not saying Sirianni needs to be that, but him, Howie, and Lurie need to have a long talk about the minimum requirements for a football team, and he needs to point directly at the more strict Fangio as an example of why it's important.
November 13, 2025Nov 13 I don't know what AJ has done wrong to the QB or the play caller but dude went from all pro to college division 3 type player.AJ wants to contribute it seems like folks are trying to isolate him and keep him in a dog house....Sad, AJ is legit and disappointing the way things have now spiraled out of control, this most likely will be last year here..

AJ knows he can get a free pass because there's a significant portion of our fan base who will blame Patullo, Hurts or Both long before they'll ever entertain that maybe AJ isn't exactly ripping up trees either.Plus ultimately I don't care who's fault it is, I think crap like this should stay within the locker room and in team meetings, rather than played out over one guys social media so every player and coaches press conference has to deal with it.

And I am glad it’s all related to his overall frustrations. I don’t think any of us blame him for feeling the way he feels right? We all get it and yeah he probably should be more involved. But the way he’s doing it is just wrong. And yeah he’s a star WR so he’s going to be selfish but he has to realise we can’t force the ball to him? Because that doesn’t end well when a team forces something.

November 13, 2025Nov 13 I think he'll be traded for sure. Only way that doesn't happen is if they win another championship and he gets his numbers while doing so. I think they'll make Smitty the #1, draft or hope they have Aj's replacement already and move on. At this point I want nothing but the best for AJ, but if it ain't in Philly, so be it.
November 13, 2025Nov 13 If Hurts wanted to throw him the ball he would. It's that simple. He'd stare him down for 10 seconds and throw into triple coverage it doesn't matter. For whatever reason Hurts doesn't want to get him the ball. And Hurts is playing a passive aggressive game of consistently quoting "it's about the collective" any time he's asked about it to avoid answering the simple question, why.Pattullo is straight garbage but he isn't responsible for this. Hurts is. Apparently winning isn't a cure all. A couple few more losses and this is all on the path to driveway sit ups.

Except for the part that the Iggles don't trade him if they win another SB. IMO, if they win another SB this season, then you 100000% trade him. Also, his replacement is NOT already on the roster, so, they have to draft a good WR. Or, do what they did to get AJ, trade with another team for a WR. Also, they could go the FA route for a new WR.Let's just win it this year first though. 😎

Howie is going to move him for numerous reasons this off-season regardless, seeing what the compensation will be is what will be interesting. WR2 is currently not on this team, Dotson is nice but he's a #3 and won't be re-signed. They will draft one high and possibly three overall, and there's no way they go through FA or else they'd just keep Dotson. They will win it all again, and that maybe the only slight rational in why Howie brings AJ back, and that's to make history with a third straight Lombardi.

Hurts is. Apparently winning isn't a cure all. A couple few more losses and this is all on the path to driveway sit ups. It's a myth that Hurts won't throw him the ball. He does, and has. Just 2 games ago (for AJ, because he missed the 2nd Giants game, where he likely would have feasted like the rest of the offense), he had his biggest game of the year with 121 yards and 2 TDs...then complained after that he still wasn't being used enough. Prior to that, 6 catches for 80 yards. And an earlier game 6 catches, 109 yards and a TD.Some intelligent folks on twitter and in the blog posts have pointed out that defenses are running zone since AJ and Smitty will destroy man coverage. The routes shown are simple and not designed well to get the most out of it. Sirianni also has said for 2 seasons now that his top priority is efficiency and not turning the ball over. Hurts last year said they "took the straight jacket off" and earlier this year said they should not play scared, play to not lose. It's not Hurts. Nick wants to limit turnovers and play safe, conservative and lean on the run. Patullo has had to adjust since the O line was banged up and the run game wasn't there until recently. When they need to, all of a sudden they start launching it deep and both AJ Brown and Smith have been benefiting from deep passes. Goedert is also a safety net who is open because the two WRs are the focus. Hurts has his limitations and weak areas just like every QB, but the coaches are hurting the offense in the scheme, design, routes they call and playing safe and conservative. It's not Hurts fault that on 3rd and long Patullo calls a cowards draw, or keeps calling runs right up the middle for Barkley to get stuffed instead of getting him outside. Everyone takes accountability: Siri, Patullo, Hurts. There's also times AJ doesn't execute his full route, while other times he does and even last week did great blocking on run plays. Everyone is responsible to improve the offense. But it is a myth and simply wrong that Hurts won't throw to AJ. He does, and he has.
