THIS is something that needs to be emphasized. Literally the only thing about RFKs MAHA movement that has support from the medical community at large is reduction of processed foods and an increase in fresh ingredients in the average diet (ya know, the thing Michelle Obama pushed that was criticized endlessly but whatever).

No matter how you cut it eliminating billions of income to grocery stores will 100% make it more difficult for many Americans to have access to those foods by creating more food deserts.

99,000 of the 220,000 Afghani immigrants are on food stamps.

126,000 of the 300,000 Somali immigrants are on food stamps.

52,700 of the 155,000 Iraqi immigrants are on food stamps.

264,500 of the 1.15 million Haitian immigrants are on food stamps.

8.26 million of the 14 million illegal immigrants are on food stamps.

That adds up to just over 8.8 million on food stamps. There is 42+ million people on food stamps.

What that tells me, is 79% of those receiving food stamps are American citizens, not immigrants, and not illegals.

You're trying to explain something requiring at least a 5th grade understanding of math to the guy who was eating crayons on the short bus through high school.

That said, even using complete BS numbers the most you can get to is 20% of SNAP recipients being for whatever extreme nativist views one could have objectionable.

The largest number there though is nonsense. You need to be a US citizen or legally here in the US to qualify for SNAP, period. I don't doubt they can find instances where "illegal immigrants" managed to get benefits, but those are the exception - and not a "59% of illegals get SNAP" exception.

The vast majority (89%) of SNAP beneficiaries are native born US citizens.
