I think part of the problem is they can’t run the ball now. 4 5ths of the line seems to not be fully healthy and Steen isn’t what Becton was. I don’t think anything is wrong with Barkley. Half the defense is in the backfield as he’s getting the handoff.

Completely agree, it's so baffling with the way they keep going on with this nonsense. They can still have games where they can have a " Hurts" game. Just establish the thing you should still be good with and that's running the damn ball. Only thing I can figure is that they are trying not to run Barkley into the ground and that's all good but, they still need to get him the ball.

Save him for when we miss the playoffs! 🙄

This is definitely got 2023 vibes. I know there’s more talent on this team, I know the defense is better and the DC is a lot better but the vibes on this team feel off. We’ve got the whole AJ thing going on every week, we’ve got the OL not playing well and not healthy, we’ve got an ill disciplined team.

There’s still time to turn this around and I wouldn’t back against them… but this thing could really come off the rails and right now that’s what I feel is going to happen. But they have a mini bye now to get right and turn it around.

The elephant in the room right now is the injury bug. OL is hurting. Becton is gone. Dickerson is out. Jurgens is not at full capacity. LJ has been hit with injuries. Outside of Fred Johnson, the backups have shown a big dropoff in talent. On the D side, we're down Nolan Smith, and JC in NY on Thurs. nite. BG, MW and JS all gone in the offseason - and it shows. Slay gone on the back end as is CJ. Q out with a bum hamstring. Back end of defense is a shell of what we had last year.

You add all of that up, and factor in lack of confidence in the offensive coaching staff, and you have a real problem - a hole that can be very hard for a team to dig itself out of, even if some injured players start to recover. The drop off in talent is significant.

I was saying the same thing to my brother when they were 4-0 and squeaking out wins....There's enough talent on this team, but they can't overcome bad coaching and they aren't getting even decent offensive or defensive line play. It's baffling.

I think they can on get better on offense if they make a commitment to running the ball again. Just like they had to do last year after the 2-2 start. They promoted Patullo to run the offense who was their pass game coordinator … I don’t know if he knows how to run the f#^%#ing ball. Anyway, all this talk of finding our identity … THAT is it … running the ball. Ridiculous that they should need a reminder 1 month into a new season after winning the whole damn thing last year with that identity.

It is more important to adjust to what the other team gives you then stick with any one style of offense. I am for balanced offense. What we need are Adjustments and more adjustments. KP is scared for his job and is risk averse. We desperately need someone with the Bully attitude for OC. Someone who will get healthy OL off multiple practice squads and tell them to run over people instead of playing walking wounded who can barely move. Healthy young people beat up Great old and injured people.

I said it as soon as they announced Patullo- it's going to be 2023 all over again. What KILLS me is they didn't learn the lesson of Brian Johnson. How do you NOT learn that lesson? You MUST hire an EXPERIENCED OC or DC. You don't hire trainee's.

Because the NFL is a boy's club, and Siri thought he'd do a solid by giving his buddy a promotion.

What was disturbing about the Giants game was the failure at all levels. The O was playing great but the D was doing nothing. Then the special teams effed things up for the offense. Then finally the offense turned the ball over. There was zero complementary football. It's the worst I've seen them play in at least 2 years.

Yep ... felt the same way. Highly unlikely we make a change mid season (not the Eagles MO ... and honestly, who would take over play calling ... Sirianni?!?!). They have to go the same route they did with Brian Johnson and fire Patullo immediately after the season ends (barring a dramatic change in the offense between now and then) and hire a proven, creative, experienced offensive mind. Hiring Patullo was strike 2 ... Sirianni better not get a strike 3.

I know I’ve said this already but I’ll elaborate a bit. I think there are so many problems right now it’s kind of hard to see how they can all be fixed?

Can we get healthy? Yeah of course it’ll need a bit of luck but we can. The guys currently hurt or that are playing with injuries can get healthier and that will definitely help if we can.

Can they fix the discipline issues? Again they can and Sirianni has shown he can fix problems but I think part of the issue so far has been Sirianni? We don’t know this but the way they handled the Carter thing in week one? I mean he’s still making dumb mistakes so did it work? And when the HC is chirping at the opposition QB what kind of message does that send the team?

There’s clearly a problem between the WR and QB. I wonder whether there’s frustration with WR2 but he’s not vocal about it. We saw last year we can win in spite of their damaged relationship but winning cures a lot of problems. If this team can’t stop the losses then the problem will rear its ugly head and could only get worse.

The offense hasn’t played well and we know it can be better. But the signs so far suggest the OC isn’t cut out for the job and his scheme is not helping. To fix that they probably need to change OC but that’s extremely unlikely during the season.

And then there’s the talent issue at certain spots. Howie could trade for a CB2 or a really good DE to add some quality but his in season trades haven’t been the best.

All in all there are things they can fix but there’s a number of issues and I’m not sure they can fix them all. It’ll come down to which ones they fix and whether that’s enough to get them back on track. Bottom line the NFC is there for the taking and the NFL in general is.

2023 we still won 11 games. Not sure we win double digits this year unless some drastic happens.

This is a bit premature, but, if this season goes downhill fast, he may be on the hot seat. I mean, this Org pretty much fired Doug P like 2 years after he won them their 1st SB?

Doug was fired because he wanted to go against Lurie's wishes. And some ishy luck in 2020.
