Sadly, Howie’s in season trades rarely work out. Ajayi gave the 2017 team a little more boost but that was it. He’s already traded for Bigsby and Metc

I mean I’m not sure I can agree there bud. You can bring in a DE, a really good one but with Ringo or Adoree at CB you are going to get torched because they can’t cover for a damn second let alone long enough to get a DE home. The back end and trenches need to complement each other and right now they are so far from that.

Offense has to start to carry it's own weight. Offense is extremely 250 mil overpaid and is 30th in the league?!?!?!?!?

I believe it could be a lot better inspite of how bad Patullo is, BUT, it requires the line to get healthy. It feels like the nagging back and knee injuries are going to be annoying and linger all season. Lane has left 2 games, and who would be shocked if he exits a few others early? Unfortunately, I think the Line and Patullo are going to sink us this season.

I was thinking about this for a while. Bad trades and signings by Howie , Patullo's lack of imagination, Forcing Hurts to throw more passes instead of helping him with designed runs and running game, Both defensive line and offensive line injuries, Bad locker room, Useless Head coach, Defensive backs.... I would not be very surprised if the Eagles do not win another game this season. So many problems and issues that have been accumulating for quite a while. We learned nothing from 2023. It is a repeat.

I don't think it'll be quite 4-13 bad, but I can see things going south quickly.

True but both aren't getting fixed mid-season......if one has to be fixed I would lean on DE.....look how much pressure effected Mahomes in the SB.....and we won't nab a premier pash rusher at this point any way, but a solid reliable one would help IMO. We have secondary resources to move around, not ideal but can move around......and just lost Z. Smith

I agree that we can’t fix both mid season so that’s a problem. And I agree that pressure can help and alleviate some of the pressure on the back end. But I’m not sure how effective a pass rush can be when the CB2 is just so damn bad.

The Master Jeff Plan was :" we will gather the best and pay everyone on offense" At the cost of let's not resign quality Defensive players. Never mind that Hurts is not the type of QB who can not utilize all these receivers. Nor is our offensive line healthy enough to give him time. As Long as we have AJ Brown sitting on the bench with a funny look on his face Jeff...got exactly what he wanted. A team that is fiscally and structurally out of balance. Major halls on defense are a direct result of bad management and bad planning. Never should have committed so much money to offense. Instead should have kept all the players that departed in 2024 because replacements were not ready to take over.

It’s a great great question! We saw last year that Dotson barely got used and we know Hurts takes time to build chemistry with his receivers. We also know this team under utilizes AJ and Smith and yet we trade for another former high round pick WR.

Eagles were masterfully mismanaged. Management gave QB too many offensive weapons. Management hired the best coaches, who have systems that QB can not run. Management purposefully demolished a Super Bowl winning 2024 defense in order to give Hurts all these weapons. Their faith in Ringo and unproven rookies on defense was a gross miscalculation. If they want Hurts as QB they need a nbetter defense and a running game. If they want to utilize all the weapons that we have then it is not Hurts , who is the best QB on this team for that purpose. Considering we are in week 7..... I do not know what they can change or do to effectively change the status quo other than trade for a blockbuster DE. Even then..this may not change much. Playing 3-4 was mentioned as a possible solution, but that is crazy change in mid season. On offense they can change OC so they are less predictable. Not so much that KP is bad..but they do need someone with a little more imagination.

He’ll make a trade for an aging lb that gets hurt within a week and a receiver that contributes nothing. His mid season trades have not hit.
