I mean the complete lack of effort. The kiddie "tackle" at the goal line. All that is on social media and being watched and mocked millions of times by everyone. It's completely indefensible. How do you keep those 2 on the team, much less on the field, while still expecting the rest of the team to play hard? Or expect players to still have respect for Fangio?

I don't get it. Unless everything is rigged and they were all "in on it" and throwing the game on purpose.

Congratulations on another horrible thread. They just flat out suck as players and we have no one else. There is nothing to get or some conspiracy

My hope for Greg Newsome fell through after the Jaguars trade. If absolutely nothing is available.... I would throw the dice and start looking at other teams practice squads. We could not do that much worse than Ringo if the monkey threw a dart at the first available CB on someones practice squad.

Ringo has been horrible the last couple of weeks. He gives up such crucial plays and is such an easy target. And I mean Adoree? Mr I Trail Behind on every damn play! He’s atrocious I don’t ever want to see him on the field for us again.

Waive Jackson. Play Ringo just as a gunner on ST. We have Bennett on IR. Activate and start him and activate Parry Nickerson and start him. Dress the 5th rounder McWilliams. Elevate Ricks.

If Eagles lose the next game to the Giants, its time to put a fork on the season and tank.

Get a high draft pick next year and rebuild, hopefully in another 2 years win another Superbowl....

Oh and Throw Ringo, Sydney Brown and Adoree Jackson out the window...

What I don't understand is Howie's fascination with Ringo. I mean it's not like he was a 2nd or even a 3rd rounder. He was a 4th.

Yeah sure it still kinda sucks that you blew a 4th rounder on someone useless, but it happens a lot. And it's not a hill worth dying over. We've discarded 4th rounders all the time without a second thought. So why is Howie desperately hanging on to Ringo?

Actually I thought about this a bit and realized the answer. It's because he let Rodgers leave. He thought it was another genius money saving move and that Ringo and Adoree is gonna give him the same amount of production. Probably too proud to admit that was a gigantic miscalculation.

This isn't a totally horrible idea.

His height, speed and ability to play STs.

It kills me how people act like Howie makes all decisions in a vacuum. No consultation at all with the rest of his staff or the coaches. I've said this I think a million times, he is the GM, he has final say and he has always stepped up and taken responsibility for the bad decisions and given organizational credit to the good ones. That's what he is suppose to do. But as fans we should have the ability to see things as they really are. No decision is made without deliberation, If Fangio really wanted a guy, Howie would have found a way to make it work.

Ringo was selected early in the 4 th round but we traded a 3rd round pick in the next draft to get that pick. So we invested a 3 rd round pick to draft him not a 4

Mukuba gets abused too. He had a couple big plays against KC but overall he hasn’t been good. He’s way too small to be an NFL starting Safety.

He took some terrible angles in the Giants game, game looked way out of his depth.. Its fair though he is only a rookie...

Wasn't for that fluke INT in KC he has been mediocre at best so far.

I'm actually surprised by how bad Ringo has been after showing signs of promise. As bad as he and Jackson are, our secondary as a whole has looked bad because Fangio feels like he has to blitz way more often than he wants to because we can't get any pressure on the QB without it.

If we can get back to just rushing 4 and getting half decent pressure, that will help our performance in the secondary. Carter has to get back to being the beast he was, Nolan Smith has to stay healthy, and Jalyx Hunt needs to....do something.

I'm sure Howie is and has been looking for trades. Edge being his priority, I'm sure.

I’m not sure he has ever shown signs of promise though has he bud? I think the tools are there for him in that he’s a good size and he’s fast but he’s had 3 TCs now and never really stood out?

He showed some promise last year in the limited snaps he played...you can read this from this past offseason:

Signs of promise in limited snaps need to be put into context, not saying signs of promise are not easy to have hope but think about role players in the past that splurged here and there but never elevated themselves to be starters when given more playing time. Ringo's struggles in camp should have been concerning from the get go. Then you trade for Bennett, who doesn't see the field? Jackson should have been a fill-in if needed, not a starter.

If Vic is keeping Ringo on the field at this point then that tells you all you need to know about Jackson and Bennett......and it doesn't mean Ringo is worthy either.....but I honestly think the Eagles can survive this throughout the season, IF Mitchell stays healthy.

Injuries are hurting this team in many ways (Dickerson, L. Johnson, Goedert, Carter, N. Smith, Mitchell).......need to get healthy and get better......players like Mailata, Hunt, Blankenship, they need to step it up.

Yeah it's tough. But I can understand if Roseman's (and the coaching staff's) thinking was that Ringo showed some promising signs last year and they invested a 3rd round pick in him plus some time to develop. He needed to get a legit shot at showing what he could do. Obviously, it turns out that Ringo is a liability so far.

If Mitchell misses time with his hammy, ugh. But otherwise, Vic may need to try DeJean and Mitchell at OCB and put the rookie McMillan in the slot. Or I guess give Eli Ricks a shot on the outside? Can't be much worse.
