I never root for injuries (sick) but the NFL season is a war of attrition and right now we are winning it. Not sure I can recall a more eventful bye week where our opponents got weaker and we got stronger, health, standing and player trade wise (marginally most likely but certainly not worse).

Exactly. Didn’t become an Eagles fan until I was in third grade. All I knew about football prior to that year is that it was something my dad watched on television sometimes. But he took me to an Eagles game that year and I was instantly hooked. From that moment until I graduated high school, the Eagles never had a winning record. They were an embarrassment for an entire decade.

We’ve been mostly good for about thirty years but right now is the absolute peak.

Back in the day, fans of other teams saw Mike Schmidt as the best 3B in baseball. Philly fans saw a player who struck out too much.

Howie is going to miss on picks and free agents. He can't be perfect, but his decision-making process is sound. And what he does well, trades and cap management, he's exceptional at.
