Can’t keep everyone.Yeah it made sense and only looks not great in retrospective. Really weird after punting on the position completely for years that we now have 3 really good LBs. Albeit they probably won’t sign Dean and probably couldn’t have predicted that Campbell would have dropped to them.

It was always said that he was the leader of the Bulldogs. He may be too valuable to just walk out the door and his injury history could keep his price low.

He was one of the best players in that SB though. The team had to make some room for the young guys even though Sweat and Williams aren’t that old.
November 7Nov 7 He looks a lot like Josh Sweat. Very long and quick. He even has the injury history. I’m assuming he’ll give the Eagles similar production.
November 7Nov 7 The more I read and hear about him the happier I am. I think his injury history won't be too much and an issue with the amount of rotating we do at the position. He seems super excited to be here and looks to be ready to give it all he has got. Hopefully he can bring a Skattebo type jolt to the D line.

November 11Nov 11 GREAT game tonight Jalean. Welcome to Philly. Rub some of your mojo on AJ’s big ole empty head
November 11Nov 11 On a scale of 1 to very excited, Phillips' debut was somewhere between URLACHERZZZZ!! and Myles Garrett.
November 11Nov 11 In his first game for us he made an impact and a pretty big one at that! If he stays healthy I mean he is going to be a problem for offenses.
November 11Nov 11 People overrate picks. Even if he is a rental, he knows the system and proved he can contribute in game one. A 3rd that is likely at the back end of the round is worth bringing in a potential game wrecker. There is the chance that pick could turn into a Milton Williams or Nakobe Dean (who many considered a bust until last season), but it could also turn into a Davion Taylor or Josh Huff. It hopefully continues to pan out because it's looking like a great trade for a win now team.
November 11Nov 11 Author For a team that has as good a chance at a championship as any other (based on everything we have been seeing thus far across the league) and some help needed for the pass rush, this was a smart investment. We have a rare opportunity to do something that only a handful of teams have done before - go to the Super Bowl 3 times in 4 years, win back-to-back championships. I'm sure that factored into their decision.
November 12Nov 12 He had a very good debut. But now it also brings up the issue of his contract. He is keep this level of play up it would be tough to let him go. next year we have to start paying to D.
November 17Nov 17 The line has looked so much better with Phillips in. It also helps to have some legitimate depth with Smith back and Graham
November 17Nov 17 On the 4th & Goal he disappeared and reappered behind Sewell, it was a thing of beauty, wasn't slowed down at all
November 17Nov 17 He's been as advertised. I love his height and speed to power. The "hands up" strategy against Goff was superb.
