Posted September 2, 20204 yr Pat's & Geno's, probably two of the worst cheese steaks shops in the city, is doubling down. Budweiser-infused cheese steaks. https://www.phillyvoice.com/pats-genos-cheesesteaks-budweiser-philly-free-labor-day/ That said, I do go to Pat's from time to time. It has to be after midnight and drinking heavily has to be involved. Then I go for the show and the **** steak sops up some alcohol.
September 2, 20204 yr IT'S time to rise up and burn those two down. i don't correct locals anymore when they ask where to get a good philly or philly cheesesteak and if pats or genos is better. there's only one geno's for me...

I remember Gino's. I must be old. Think there was one less than 10 minutes from my grandmother's house back in the late 70s/early 80s.

It was still called KFC but you could only get it at Gino's.

There was a huge controversy in Newark, DE when they put the Gino's in on Main St. back in the 70's. They didn't want to ruin the look.

September 9, 20204 yr The Gino’s I went to growing up was on Rt 23 in Phoenixville. Right next to the hospital. Then it became a Roy Rogers and eventually Boston Market. Not sure what’s there now.

September 9, 20204 yr I hate Budweiser. I get a banging headache if I walk too close to the cooler that contains them.

September 9, 20204 yr I used to like to go to Pat's as a kid, but I've generally moved on from them. I still have some nostalgia for the place, and it is kind of a historic landmark. The sandwhich is ok but small and way overpriced. Geno's sucks donkey balls.
