  3. Shakespeare in Love

  4. Scarface

  5. Kill Bill

I'm proud of ya'll. Interstellar & Silence of the Lambs are definitely at the top of my list. Shakespeare in Love and Costner's Robin Hood were in there for many years but the general consensus has finally caught on and are now ashamedly considered movies that "didn't age well".

I'll give 5 not mentioned yet 5 that all have growing hate clubs and we will win in the long run.

  1. Oppenheimer

  2. A Beautiful Mind

  3. Good Will Hunting

  4. Shawshank Redemption

  5. Ghandi

I "like" Shawshank, but every time I try to rewatch it I get bored and do something else, so you might be on to something here....

Never saw any of those movies lol. Thanks now I don't need to watch them ever lol

My list may be the most controversial so far…

  1. All of the Star Wars

  2. All of the Lord of the Rings

  3. Avatar

  4. Interstellar

  5. Ghostbusters

I like it , swing for the fences. Ghostbusters was always fiercely overrated. Anybody who wasn't a kid when the first Star wars came out has every right to hate the whole thing. My one beef with the Avatar hate is that 90% of the people that hate on it , didn't see it in 3D at the theater. If you didn't see it in the correct format, you didn't see it.

My only beef with people that hate Rams piss is that 90% of people that hate it never drank it while getting a BJ from a 25 year old swedish super model on the front porch of a secluded cabin overlooking the alps. Of you didn't drink it in the correct setting, you didn't drink it....

Nah. That's a fact about Avatar (and Gravity btw). It's like saying you saw Wizard of Oz on your b/w TV and don't understand the hype. They are technological achievements first and movies second. There are 3 times in my life I was left stunned and speechless by the special effects in a movie theater: Star Wars, Jurassic Park and Avatar.

Avatar sucks. It’s just a bad movie. Idgaf that it had technology. It doesn’t save it from being a steaming pile of ish.

At least Star Wars was something different and Jurassic Park was epic in scale.

Nobody wanted to see animated Dances With Wolves, 3-D.

  1. Citizen Kane

  2. The English Patient

  3. Titanic

  4. It's a Wonderful Life

  5. Gone With The Wind

I'd also give special mentions to "Avatar" for reasons already mentioned. The special effects were cool but the story was a total rip off. Fast and Furious was a similar rip off. Also "Spirited Away". When that movie came out people talked about it like it was this amazing ground breaking film and it was cheesy and generic.

Fight club

Office space

Every Monty python movie

It (both of them)

Every Adam Sandler movie where he plays a mentally retarded character.

Coming in off the top rope for the classics, lol.

A lot of them don’t age well. I had to watch citizen Kane multiple times in film school and write several papers on it. It had some innovations filmmaking wise, but the script and acting aren’t very good.

Some classics do stand the test of time. Psycho for example is still one of the best horror movies ever made. Likewise Casablanca is still one of the best love stories ever made.

  1. Interstellar

  2. Avatar

  3. Titanic

  4. Fight Club

  5. Scarface

In no particular order:

  • Interstellar (Premise was better than the screenplay)

  • Unforgiven (Worst Eastwood Western)

  • Chinatown (Slow. I don’t want to spoil it by saying why else I hated it.)

  • Sinners (Good movie, just way overrated)

  • The Batman (Everything except Zoe Kravitz’ performance was subpar)

Most Overrated Actress: Michelle Pfeiffer

Most Overrated Actor: John Wayne

I haven’t looked at any other answers, yet. I’m excited to see other people’s thoughts.

I probably should have replaced Chinatown with Kill Bill: Volume 1

Scarface feels too dated and doesn't hold up. I was never a fan.
