sameaglesfan Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Is there any lazier take on players' salaries (by either an ex-jock or a talking head) than so-and-so "needs to get paid"? From soon to be over-the-hill RBs (like Todd Gurley) to over-priced diva WRs - it is always "this guy needs to get paid." Instead of actually putting some thought into the process and deciding whether said performer is a valuable asset - or just an addition to the bottom line that will drag a team down for years to come.
wholesale_Melvin Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 i think we're hearing paid but OP wrote blave, which we all knows means to bluff. i mean, what sane poster wouldn't know that ? 2 1

sameaglesfan Posted September 2, 2020 Author Posted September 2, 2020 For example, just after I posted the original (in retrospect bad) post, I turned on ESPN (regretfully) and saw the braniac Max Kellerman espousing why Alvin Kamara needed to get paid - IMMEDIATELY!

I wouldn't mind getting paid what they're getting paid before they get paid. 2

Exactly my (poorly made) point, originally... I just get so exhausted by the lazy analysis by the talking heads - particularly on the four letter network. No thinking - just toeing the company line. 1

This is why you should turn off the news and get all of your information here in WU. 1 1
Toastrel Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Football is the only real team, prime time, gladiator sport. While their salaries are ridiculous, if I was risking life and limb every practice, every game, I'd like to be paid too. I see that the Eagles are "offering" to put your photo on a cutout to sit in the stands. Only $100 a pop. I'd want my cut too, if I was risking my health.

Anyone that is going to work right now is risking their health.
