January 3Jan 3 How secure do you think Petro and the other tinhorn dictators and Cartel bosses in that region are feeling right now? They know it won’t take much for their people to want some of that liberation for themselves.

He’s reimposing our influence in our region after decades of corruption and negligence. Buckle up because it’s going to get wild.

January 3Jan 3 China is pissed that the US just took control over the oil that is being used as collateral for the billions of dollars Of loans they gave Venezuela. This was never about drugs, Obviously, but now you know why china was there this week.https://finance.yahoo.com/news/china-says-deeply-shocked-us-145527537.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAEWMNgJ2HcbCSPe8WhfcRz6Cy0vlrppBR3e9AVvm_tMzJ7Mx1BZ-2DyJS1JILNB2d7PRP9hHR-rTWwzXbnlurRNK5Jb37OAJ16fHTXi3O4MDfI6IaVikyr3KMEO9mg-tvwfwjo8-0iD2pJYtTUTgjEBeokPrOdWV6l2cZSYa4b9W

In any case, I’ve never once suggested that we should take direct action in the Ukraine. However, more boots will be on the ground in Venezuela shortly.

Giving them money and weapons so that they have a better chance at fighting Russia is what will keep the US OUT of war over there. But we now will have a military presence in Venezuela for an extended period of time. (You know, BOOTS ON THE GROUND) and you’re all in favor of that.

My biggest concern is why China was there, and if we promised them anything in return for any assistance they may have provided. There may have been none but, if there was I can think of only one thing they’d want in return.

January 3Jan 3 While I am a left leaning moderate, I actually think this may be a good thing. Since DC for years has considered Venezuela a criminal state, they tried diplomacy by putting sanctions on their oil trade, but it didn't work, Iran started a shadow fleet years ago, so they were still getting money from sales which only kept the current regimes corruption going, then, Russia joined in 22 and China, well China is always trying to screw us. If we wanted their oil it would be cheaper just to buy it and way less risk. However, this isnt about oil, what it is about is Iran Russia and China now have access to a place really close to home. I know the Venezuelans hated Maduro. So there is that too. While I hate war, and wish there was away to avoid it, sometimes it may not be possible. To me this is all about our security.By the way, I am a Never Trumper. Cant stand the tangerine tyrant, But on this issue I think he may be doing the right thing.

January 3Jan 3 6 minutes ago, The_Omega said:I think it only prudent in this day and age.Very well. Essentially, you are opening up for a period of global warfare, i.e. the final nail in the coffin for the post WWII order and the entire world enters a new massive game of Risk. Taiwan is toast. Canada/Greenland invaded. Moldova/Baltics/Poland under fire. It goes on from there.

They take oil as collateral. They knew Trump was Coming for It and Madura. They were there to try to protect their investments. Now they’re pissed. Expect china to retaliate with heavy economic ploys to cost us more money. The affordability president just created a major economic disaster.

One of the noble wars we fought after WW2 was the first gulf war because it established a line that such things were unacceptable. Now not only is the Trump regime happy to hand over Ukrainian land to reward such a move, we are engaging in it ourselves.

I don’t actually think we will invade Canada any time soon but the Risk game will proceed with greater speed now. Taiwan is in play and Russia will eventually wear down Ukraine and move elsewhere now that US funds will be tied up in the Western Hemisphere.

More dominos are likely to fall soon, with little to no additional US military action. Less certain is how to achieve his objectives up north, but that could, potentially, have a peaceful solution as well.
