How long do think their military leadership has left? Well, it seems hysterics like you give them far more credit then they reasonably deserve so probably for a while. You keep missing the hard part, i.e. the occupation and rebuild

If it ends without further conflict then we can call it an occupation by means of a minor skirmish. If it persists then this will be the beginning of a war.

Guerrilla action could be a danger to our military if they’re out there in the streets but they’re not there yet. Actually maybe we could send ICE agents because they’re battle hardened from dealing with Democrats in our cities.

It’s called logic. Our military will now be in control of Venezuela until a new government is formed and secure. What makes this conflict even more hilarious, is that in this case there actually is already a popular opposition candidate who won the election, and Trump has already come out and said "nah, she’s not going to be the new leader”. So we actually had a relatively easier off ramp here by just helping the rightful leader of Venezuela assume control. But now we’re going back to the tried and true (and always failing) route of installing a new leader of our choice.

This can just be swept under a rug this is a MAJOR violation and sets a dangerous worldwide precedent.MehPrecedent set ages ago and the UN will donit usually noise amounting to nothing

I even went back over the thread to make sure. I used the term "warfare" generally in one post in relation to the world as is this action will end up promoting more warfare. We did certainly revert to military action that was an act you'd see in a war last night. There were 100 aircraft and a couple thousand military personnel involved, a plane was shot down, and there was fighting with real bullets and plenty of bombs.Just for giggles I looked up "short war" and the shortest listed was 38 minutes with 500 people killed in the British-Zanzibar War with the self proclaimed Sultan fleeing. I wouldn't have called that a war but apparently historiasn do. Wonder how many were killed last night?

January 3Jan 3 TBH I haven’t seen anything yet regarding regime change. Yeah, sure, we got Maduro, but, uh, the same regime is in control. Saw some sources saying that we were getting fed intel from a man on the inside. We may have just helped one of the regime’s top men pull off a coup.

What do we call an "arrest” on foreign soil where we have no jurisiction? The united states ousted a foreign leader by force and the president is planning on running the country from his resort, I suppose you can call it what you want.

Taiwan is in play and Russia will eventually wear down Ukraine and move elsewhere now that US funds will be tied up in the Western Hemisphere.Yeah there's almost no chance a Taiwan invasion doesn't happen in the next year or so.

If this was about restoring a democratically elected leader to power that would be one thing. This is about Trump pocketing that oil money.
