That 1st round bye will help us so much if we get it

I love Lane, but he might need to hang it up. Can't stay healthy.

That Fred Johnson trade is looking better and better. Jacksonville did us well with Tank Bigsby and with Fred Johnson

Soon, but if we make another run in the playoffs, LJ will be needed.

That is a tough one. Johnson and Jurgens have both looked off all year. Fred Johnson is a competent back up and Toth has shown he has the ability to fill on the play well. They got to get as healthy they can if we are going to make a deep playoff run. If they both need to be out for a bit we should be ok. The offense has much larger problems then them.

Its a sprain. He will be out 6 weeks.

Don't think for a second that the problems of the offense are unrelated to the play of the OL

They most certainly are a factor. There are several issues with the O. The line struggling, the play calling, Hurts possibly feeling pressure to get AJ involved and forcing him the ball. I think there is also a case to be made for Hurts playing too safe and afraid to turn the ball over. That being said there is not just one issue on the offensive struggles, and they don't seem to be any closer resolving them

It does feel like 2023 in reverse - with the offense being the big problem this year and not the defense

Really - don't most players have an injury by week 11? Shoud Jurgens hang it us, he's missed more time than Lane. How about Goedert's career injury history? Should he have retired?

Captain F, I rarely are derogatory to other posters, but your post was simply dopey.

The Eagles are 15-23 without Lane Johnson. Hopefully it doesn't get ugly down the stretch.

Yes, but their record with Fred Johnson replacing LJ is considerably better.

F me

Crap. But not totally unexpected. Dude is a warrior, and with that comes injuries. A lot of them. Ugh.

OLine will be a priority this Offseason.

Fans seem to get a little paranoid when it comes to injuries. Even Maddox with all his pro injury history has still been available for 71% of his teams' regular season games and 85% of their playoff games. This is Lane's 13th season in the NFL. He's had some injuries. His first ankle injury didn't heal fully and that lingered into the following season, but he really hasn't missed an abnormal amount of time even when you factor in the 14 total games he missed due to suspensions and a couple more regular season pre-playoff rest games.

Fortunately, we don't see many top shelf edge rushers over the final seven weeks. The toughest one we'll see is probably Maxx Crosby of the Raiders, and that's a game we should win anyway.

Also, we've struggled throwing the ball so much that I really wonder if this could have an indirect positive effect if it causes them to simplify the approach. Even though last night was ugly I liked that they made a concerted effort to get AJ the ball on quick throws like slants and screens rather than sending him deep every play.

The scary part is, we are now one Mailata or Fred ding away from Pryor playing tackle. Is Hinton going to be ready this year at all?

Yep. Said the same earlier in the roster tracker thread.

That 7th rd pick to Jacksonville for Fred Johnson is paying serious dividends. Most underrated move of the season.

Now is the perfect time for Lane to rest up for the postseason run. The Eagles remaining schedule isn't terrible: @Cowboys, Bears, @Chargers, Raiders, @Commanders, @Bills, Commanders.

I don't mind if Fred Johnson plays the remainder of the regular season, to see if Lane can get healthy for January. Even if he can't, then Johnson has that much game experience going into the playoffs.

Time to hang it up. He can not stay healthy.

Nah. Would not be surprised if there was a plan in place to shut him down for the final stretch of the season and bring him back fresh for the playoffs. Did something similar with Hurts last year.

Stop. Kids in their mid 20s on the line can't either this year. Also, he is better on one leg than most RTs in the league.

More important this year than the last few.

Meh Lane will be back in time for the Playoffs. I have no doubt in my mind that he would be jumping on the Wolverine stack; BPC 157 & TB 500 combo stack, he will heal real fast..

See you soon Lane, happy recovery...
