Anyone see this yet? It's starting to make its rounds....DGunn is someone who's usually plugged in, isn't he? If there's any truth to this...oh boy, here we go....

I think they're just trying to build on the AJ thing. Hurts is always praised

Media loves drama

People need to accept Hurts for what he is. He's not the QB you want if your goal is to go for 1600 receiving yards, but his ability to minimize turnovers and add to the ground game, while also throwing a pretty good deep ball, makes him valuable to a team with a top flight defense. The front office is slowly beginning to realize this, and I suspect that as time goes on, more resources will be invested in the defense. Hurts is a high floor, low ceiling QB which is perfectly fine with this roster. But one of DeVonta or AJ is likely getting moved this offseason (my bet would be AJ).

Possibly. But he's saying this as if it's "fact"...i.e., he's heard from someone on the inside about this. Does DGunn have any reputation for spewing speculative BS as fact? I really don't know.

If someone leaked this to Gunn, I'd imagine there is some truth to it. Certainly wouldn't be the whole story, but it's just another thing to create a big distraction.

facepalm

Her name probably starts with Dianna

I can see Hurts playing it safe and minimize turnovers. At this point he is what he is, and he has the resume to back it up. You can always points out missed opportunities but he is going to play his game. As he ages that may change and his comfort level with evolve.

Yep. She says the EXACT same thing a few days earlier and then Gunn repeats it and acts like he has some big scoop. He's a has been on a YT show nobody nobody watches who hasn't been relevant in years.

We've heard these "reports" before. They are usually around Hurts being too stoic and not vocal enough or keeping to himself. Yet, his teammates praise him publicly, videos of him mic'd up show him connecting with teammates, being vocal and hyping them up.

Focus on the real problems with the offense, not supposed drama. The media in Philly is always reaching. People always want to pretend Philly is a serious sports town of knowledgeable fans, in reality they chase and believe every drama but doubt any confidence or positivity. It's a weird pessimist/negative complex mixed with anxiety that something always must be wrong.

Some players keep to themselves and are quieter, others are loud and "fiery" and slamming equipment on the sidelines.

Just win.

Low ceiling for what?

Dak Stats?

Throwing footballs at target robots at the pro bowl games?

Accumulating 4th quarter passing yards and passing TDs in blowouts?

Throwing 3 picks in a first half so he can throw for 480 in a 10 point loss?

Fitting into some bizarre propaganda born weird image of an NFL QB?

In 2022 WRs on his team finished with 1496 11 and 1196 7

He passed for 246.7 a game and ran for 50.7 yards a game for a combined total of 297.4

Stafford was about 235

Burrow was 295.4

He is 10th all-time in TD to INT and 9th all time in the playoffs.

He is 1st in SB completion % and put up 7 TDs in 2 SBs.

He led his team to the most points scored by a playoff team in NFL history.

He led his team to 18 wins in that year, tied for the all-time record.

He is 19th all-time in passer rating, just ahead of some other low ceiling guy named Josh Allen.

He is 15th in playoff passer rating.

He is 6th in career SB passer rating.

Is an eventual 300+ passing TDs and 100+ rushing TDs a low ceiling?

Is 3+ SB wins?

Hurts is sacrificing those 2022 numbers and improvements on them as he gets better in order to fit a Saquon and D team that wins.

When he has to pass he can put up a perfect passer rating.

He put up 387 and 2 TDs vs KC in a Gannon can't stop anyone 10 point loss. he had 380 when crushing AJ's old Titans.

He stepped off the field with 11:34 left to play and Minshew led the last 2 drives. You think 450 or 500 was out of his reach?

You think he can't throw for 5000 yards and 40 TDs on an 8-9 team that constantly throws and plays bad D?

Because some talking head on ESPN said so? Try thinking for yourself instead.

In 2022 we got so angry at the 6 to 8 times that Siri put the parking break on the offense in the 2nd half.

They would be up 27-10 and sweat out a win 30-24.

Someone go ahead and figure out Hurts' 2022 first half yards and TDs then double them as if Siri was trying in the 2nd half.

I am betting its something like 4800 and 32

Edit: 274 to 167 1st half vs 2nd half points in the 15 Jalen Hurts games in 2022.

If they split the difference that's another 53 points and the yards that come with them, just for not going ultra-conservative.

It could have been more.

I’m sure his teammates are sick of him.

Please stop with this nonsense.

Hurts gained my respect last year. The only "people inside the organization" talking crap to Gunn is diva AJ Brown and Patulla. NEITHER has a right to say ANYTHING about Hurts. Just because Hurts probably HATES the offensive play calls, Patulla is trying to throw Hurts under the bus. Hurts is the Super Bowl MVP- so go try to start some trash somewhere else.

Media just loves drama. Without it they’ve got nothing to say. It’s clear that the biggest problem is Patullo. They playcalling has been atrocious and when us at home can guess the play I’m pretty sure guys that are paid millions can as well.

Patullo is a problem and so is the OLine.

The team and I mean everyone in the building and their spouses and best friends need to shut up and play ball.

No more drama. No more anonymous Insiders. We don't have time for that.

And, AJ Brown needs to cut the crying. Nobody likes it. I don't care how many touches he gets.

100% right here. Don’t give me this BS about Hurts not wanting to make risky throws, pull the tape last year of our deep balls including the ones from the SB, those were "go get em” throws. Now does Hurts have a tendency to miss open guys through his reads? Yea and I do want that to get better, but Hurts and Patullo are no where near on the same page and we’re entering Week 11/12…..this s*** needs to get better very soon…..this was NOT a problem with Steichen or Moore, whom were seasoned players callers.

Bunch of Hurts fluffers in this topic.

How's he taste guys?

Remember when Hurts got all these weapons it was no more excuses?

Yet we got guys on this board that would gladly take a teabagging from him just to catch a whiff of his stank.

Pathetic
