Thursday at 01:50 PM1 day Those are the same reactions when Gannon and Steichen were mentioned during their first years. I won't be surprised if he gets some interviews. I'm not sure if teams will feel he's proven enough at this point to promote him. He may still be a year away. Teams like to interview candidates from winning teams.
Thursday at 02:48 PM1 day The article that mentions this states the list of candidates are from a "collection of names based on dozens of recent conversations with NFL executives, coaches and others close to the search process."So, this is probably Howie telling someone "yeah, teams are HOT after KP. You should snatch him up before you lose him!"
Thursday at 05:15 PM1 day Who wrote this article? I had to blink my eyes hard twice when I first read this. Has there ever been an trade involving an OC?
Thursday at 05:19 PM1 day Sounds good to me.Maybe he can go be the HC of the Rams and then we can hire their HC to be our OC.
Thursday at 10:45 PM1 day I mean I literally have no idea how or why? He’s really not done an impressive job this year in any way shape or form.
Yesterday at 12:17 AM1 day I just used the site's search to go back and read the same topics that were about Gannon and Steichen after 2021. Some of the people responding in this topic said the same exact things in those threads. It's really not that hard to understand how things work. Andy Reid was a young nobody that was hired as a HC for the first time by the Eagles because he had a history of being a young mind on a winning team's coaching staff. After developing a reputation for turning Philadelphia into a perennial contender, many coaches from his staff saw similar paths to HC jobs. Now, under Sirianni, the Eagles saw a culture change and a shift away from the WCO offensive philosophy to a team-strength philosophy. Sirianni's record is impressive and teams have been poaching his staff, hoping to duplicate his success. KP is the latest candidate that will benefit from the team's success. Unlike Kellen Moore who was only here for a single season, KP has been here since the 2021 season. He helped the team get to two Super Bowls and win one of them over that time. So, yeah ... it's likely he'll get interviews. Whether or not he gets a HC job will probably depend on how well the Eagles finish the season. But as of today, he's a better HC candidate than the 2022 NFL coach of the year for any team whose goal is to win games.
Yesterday at 03:29 AM1 day Patullo, Eberflus, and Shane Waldron are on everyone's top 70,000 list for coaching vacancies.

Jalen’s in that when they win it’s the talent around him, but when they lose it’s his fault. The thing is, Jalen doesn’t lose as much as Allen does. I don’t know if I trust Daboll right now, and I feel like if he does win here then he will find another HC job especially if Jalen starts putting up huge passing numbers.

I wonder what would have to happen for KP to be fired after one season because he sure and hell ain't getting a HC gig. The downside is, obviously something bad would have to happen this year (flameout ala 2023, or a really bad offensive performance in the 1st playoff game that ends in a loss, etc).

We win the SB i think KP is gone. Even if we somehow continue with this type of offense performances.

Even if we somehow continue with this type of offense performances.Unless the offense starts looking like the Greatest Show on Turf for the rest of the season, I just can't see KP getting a HC job. Gannon, at least, had a defense that led the league in sacks and was top 2 or 3 in several defensive categories during the 2022 season. KP has this offense ranked what, 25th? He might be able to improve on that by the end of the season, but unless it's something remarkable, he's not going to be legitimately considered by any team.
