Eagles injury update: Cam Jurgens misses practice to start Dallas week

Eagles starting center Cam Jurgens missed the first practice of the week as the Eagles prepare to face the Cowboys on Sunday.

By Dave Zangaro • Published November 19, 2025

The Eagles were without two of their starting offensive linemen as they began their week of practice ahead of playing the Cowboys in North Texas on Sunday afternoon.

Both Lane Johnson (foot) and Cam Jurgens (concussion) were not practicing.

DNP: T Lane Johnson (foot), C Cam Jurgens (concussion)

Limited: OLB Jaelan Phillips (shoulder)

Full: T Myles Hinton (back), G/C Willie Lampkin (knee/ankle)

Johnson, 35, suffered a Lisfranc sprain against the Lions on Sunday night and is expected to miss 4-6 weeks. The Eagles are hopeful their All-Pro right tackle will be able to return for the playoffs but an IR trip is coming for Johnson.

Jurgens returned to action on Sunday against the Lions after missing two games with a knee injury but had to leave the game in the second half after suffering a concussion that was revealed on Wednesday. Jurgens played the first 61 snaps in Week 11 before leaving the game and Brett Toth played the final 11 snaps at center.

Toth had to start in Week 8 against the Giants and Week 10 against the Packers and played at a relatively high level. While the Eagles would obviously prefer to have Jurgens against the Cowboys, at least Toth has been serviceable this season as a backup.

And while Lane Johnson is out for the next month or so, expect veteran Fred Johnson to start at right tackle. He has played well the last couple years when called upon.

Injuries to the offensive line have slowed down the Eagles’ offense in 2025. While that’s not the only reason for the team’s offensive struggles this season, it has made life more difficult, especially in the run game.

Rookie sixth-round pick Myles Hinton was participating in practice on Wednesday after the Eagles opened his 21-day practice window earlier in the day. The rookie offensive tackle has been on IR all season but could be activated to provide depth after the injury to Johnson.
