Isn’t that really hard to say considering his record though? I mean he has one of the best winning percentages in NFL history, has been to two Super Bowls, won one, has never had a losing season, and has been in the playoffs every year. I mean I get being frustrated, and I understand people wanting change, but that kind of production isn’t common in the NFL. I don’t know if a new coach or a new quarterback would make this team that much better unless they can get an established coach, with an established pedigree who is capable of calling plays.

And I agree and it’s why I’m sure I’m in the minority. I just think over the next year or two they are going to have to invest more in to the defense and therefore get more out of an offense with less talent. And the reality is Sirianni as HC has gotten less out of the offense than the talent aavailable to him.

He has the best GM and coordinators carried him last year.

What we saw yesterday was a coach without his best WR and TE do more with less. This is the 2nd time in 3 years we watched Nick do less with more. Howie wasn't perfect but he gave him a top 3 roster in the league and for the 2nd time in 3 years he got bounced in the first round because he picked someone absolutely inept as OC.

It doesn't get more wide open than this year and he blew a top 3 roster. He did that. Nobody else to blame because KP was his guy and he didn't make any adjustments. When the HC singlehandedly does something that egregious he needs to go.

Maybe you’re right, but I can’t see him losing his job based off one season where the team struggled all year especially when they went into the season with so many issues on the offensive line.

But to be fair this offense hasn’t just struggled for one year?

I’m sure there will be plenty that want Nick gone. The motivational coach does have a shelf life. When the team stops listening to that coach it’s over for them. He’s kind of like a reverse Tom Coughlin. That guy was more of the hard nosed high discipline type and he also had a lot of success, but his constant negative energy eventually ran its course with the team and they stopped supporting him.

Here's an answer that might keep everyone happy.

Move Patullo into Howie's sphere. He does know football and he could work in the scouting and roster management team.

Result -

Nick, who is his best friend and who has plenty of equity with this team insn't completely cut off at the knees as an outright firing would be.

Howie gains another idea in the room

Patullo, well, he's not unemployed

Lurie - get to have an offensive coordinator who fits his mold

Hurts - Don't give me the "another oc change story", he needs a change from this year

Well, hopefully this thread can be closed today. Please get this bum as far away from the Novacare ASAP

Sirrianni and KP can both go. This team needs a real offensive minded head coach

"ESPN’s Adam Schefter went on Get Up on Monday morning to discuss the expectations for the Eagles from across the league.

With the loss still fresh, the update doesn’t sound so positive for Patullo.

"When you speak to people around the league, they expect there to be mass changes there to jump-start the offense," Schefter said. "So, you're looking at a new offensive coordinator next year, that's the expectation there across the league."

So it looks like KP is not long for this team and some changes will be made to this offense.

No, fire him and eject him from the organization. You want him making scouting decisions?

I agree he needs to go and there’s no need to worry about KP. He will get another job somewhere. Mike Groh is still in the league

Has he been fired yet? If he hasn't, why not?

I sure hope so but Schefter reporting "the expectation across the league” isn’t reporting anything other than mass speculation. Complete Captain Obvious statement there by Schefty.

They are going through the after season exit process. So no firings yet. He will be dismissed in the next couple of days. Gives the Eagles a good chance of hiring/interviewing the Offensive Coaches that are available.

Is he fired yet?

Give me... Reich, Daboll, McDaniels or Pedersen in that order. They better bring in someone with experience. After thinking about it, Pederson might be best. Don't think he wants to be a head coach again.

The NFL insiders and reporters are jack holes who have very little information. For the most part, they speculate just like us fans do. They get most of their information from Agents, who put out any NFL news that they can. 🙃🙃

I’m going to take it as a positive and believe it to be true.

What is harsh about that? He did a terrible job. In other organizations the owner would clean house that night and fire everyone.

Pederson? Not sure why people bring up his name. He really was no better offensive mind than Sirianni. Maybe a c-hair but not much more.

Genuinely I think Sirianni was the right hire. And that’s super obvious because I mean look what he’s achieved. But I think we needed to change the culture and I think he’s really done that. But I really do think his time should be up and that he’s had his time.

Don't expect KP fired right away.

Recent Eagles coach firing timelines:

Defensive Coordinator Sean Desai. Last game Mon Jan 15th. Fired Sun Jan 21st. 6 days.

Offensive Coordinator Brian Johnson. Last game Mon Jan 15th. Fired Tues Jan 23rd. 8 days.

Offensive Coordinator Mike Groh. Last game Sun Jan 5th. Fired Thursday Jan 9th. 4 days.

Head Coach Doug Pederson. Last game Sun Jan 3rd. Fired Monday Jan 11th. 8 days.

Offensive Coordinator Kevin Patullo. Last game Sun Jan 11th. Fired...?

That is the most amazing element in NFL. No matter how badly someone screw up as coach, he will still getting job somewhere. Maybe a buddy network, maybe something else. Players don't enjoy such treatment though. Their performance is out there for all to see. You can do or don't, nowhere to hide.

I didn’t think Nick was the guy and I do agree that coaches like Nick do have a limited shelf life. I never liked the hire, and I was read for him to be gone after 23, but here we are. This all will always be a problem as long as he can’t call plays or design an effective offense.

Pederson would be a disaster coming here. Reich probably too. I think guys with that kind of history here will completely undermine this head coach.

They didn't struggle last year under Kellen. They struggled the year before that under Johnson. They didn't struggle under Steichen
