I say bring in Brian Daboll. It didn't work out with the Giants, but he was terrific in Buffalo and worked well with Hurts at Alabama.

I'm not going to celebrate a good man losing his job, but this was the right decision and its not like it will leave him in penury

I wouldn't mind that. Either him or Mike McDaniel would be great. I think both could be available. I'm not sure either will land a head coaching job.

Now they need to do their homework and find someone who is willing to improve the offense, but doesn’t want to go anywhere. Maximize the potential of all this talent. Howie needs to bring back and extend as many defenders as he can (I don’t think Dean will be back unfortunately) and revamp this offensive line.

That's worded differently

The others make it seem like KP is staying with the team in another position

Hope that he is not staying around the team. The new OC would be seriously weakened by the preceding OC hanging around, who is also a buddy of the HC (assuming Nick would keep his job).

nick can't be allowed to have any influence on the offense if he's staying

Good.

Nothing personal against KP. He may be a fine human being.

But when we have the players that we have and the offense is terrible...

He needed to go.

Agreed. Let’s be honest. Patulo’s offense is Nicks offense. That’s why we saw no real improvement. KP was worse than Johnson, but now Jalen and Sirianni are on notice.

I wonder if this is a demotion or complete removal.

Any other coaches that should be fired? The QB coach? I have a wary eye on Stoutland now since the oline was so poor this year.

What's the point of having him?

Exactly. People are saying to strip him of all control in the offense

Then wtf is the point of having him?

He gets into it with players on the freaking sidelines

And what organizations are you so familiar with that you think this is true?

Anyd you would know that how. You seems to sit in your basement posting all day.

Stop being a little ****h and worrying about Patullo's feelings. You obviously don't know how the real world works.

I wish Petullo good luck in the future. The team will be better off now that he is no longer the OC. One lingering problem is our HC can't run an offense either so the next guy has to be terrific at it. I hope Howie finds that guy.

Thank God

Hell yeah !!.... I saw this on Facebook and I thought it was satire. I had to come here to make sure

Ultimately when we fall short of our goals that responsibility lies on my shoulders… so as part of taking that responsibility I’m going to fire KP and land the responsibility at his door.

You mean to tell me that firing your third coordinator in three years isn't a sign of good leadership?

I think the firings were right… you could also say it is 4 in three years given they fired Desai and then his short term replacement. I just think it’s kind of funny how Sirianni says he shoulders the responsibility but his action is to effectively place the blame on Patullo by firing him.

And if we're being even more honest, let's acknowledge that the Howie never wanted to hire Sirianni in the first place and only did so because he was out of options. And that the only reason he's still here is that Lurie doesn't want the optics of firing someone who's had this much success.

I'm convinced neither likes Sirianni all that much as a coach - every other coach they've hired has called the plays. They're just stuck between a rock and a hard place.

"Did you order a burger one side cooked... one side raw with Mac Sauce?

I would hate to be the OC for this team. The next OC will have to run a high school level offense just like Patullo cause Hurts can't run anything more complex.

Well that’s on them. They shouldn’t have fired Doug until they had a plan. They hired this guy and didn’t have to. They could have hired Duce.
