Posted Tuesday at 08:55 PM5 days While Kevin Patullo is not the only reason for the Eagles struggles on the offensive side of the ball, his poor quality playcalling has certainly cost us a few games and nearly lost us a few more if not for the heroics of the Eagles defense/special teams.Prior to joining the Eagles, Loeffler was the head coach at Bowling Green in Ohio and helped Harold Fannin Jr. develop into a top level TE prospect in this year's draft before getting drafted by the Browns, using him creatively in their offensive schemePrior to the BG stint from 2019-2024, Loeffler has served as the OC and QB coach at Temple, Auburn, Virginia Tech, and Boston College respectively. While it might be tempting to go after someone recently let go like Brian Daboll, the best move to make this late in the season may very well be Loeffler. We've already seen what Sirianni and Patullo being the play caller looks like and it's not enough to compete going into the playoffs. There's precedence for late season OC switches being successful. The Bills in 2023 switching from Ken Dorsey to Joe Brady is the most recent. Going all the way back to 2012, the Ravens switched from Cam Cameron to Jim Caldwell during their Super Bowl run season.
Wednesday at 12:00 PM4 days Caldwell is a guy I had quite a bit of interest bringing in here as OC a few years ago. When people talk about finding an older guy who has experience as an OC but not likely to get future HC offers similar to Fangio, Caldwell could very well be that guy.

Apparently the team has already reached out to Brian Daboll in an informal capacity for some pointers on optimizing the offense with Hurts based on his prior experience working with him?Are we going to the playoffs with our record and the way we're playing right now as a team? Sure. Are we going to be able to win in the playoffs and make a run for a repeat Super Bowl? Very questionable with how this offense is playing right now. This team can easily be a one and done in the wild card round and no one here will be surprised. The Rams are currently the team to beat in the NFC at this moment. If our offense gets close enough to it's full potential, we can certainly get back to being the team to beat.
Thursday at 06:49 AM3 days Reich’s final game as interim coach at Stanford is Saturday. I would hire him immediately as a consultant (like Fangio) and then hire him as OC next year. He would be one of the best OC’s in the NFL and would not be a candidate for head coach.

Experienced, had success with the Eagles in the past being the OC for the SB52 team, and ties to Nick Sirianni as his mentor during their time together with the Colts.I would go one step further and just make him the OC outright if he's interested. Rather than undergo the whole Jonathan Gannon/Vic Fangio dynamic like we had in 2022 just rip the band aid off altogether.

But do have to wonder if we did talk to Reich about returning as OC after Moore left but he wasn’t interested.

Yesterday at 07:43 PM1 day No. Loeffler is coaching up Hurts? Hurts, who is regressing and can't see the whole field again like a couple of years ago? No thanks.
