Posted Monday at 12:11 PM5 days Eagles' offense left searching for answers after another dismal outingThe Eagles had another awful offensive performance and are still searching for answers.By Dave Zangaro • Published November 29, 2025After the Eagles’ dismal offensive performance in a 24-15 loss to the Bears on Black Friday, Jalen Hurts again talked about finding an identity. In fact, he used that word — identity — four times after a Week 13 loss."I have a lot of confidence when we have an identity,” Hurts said. "So I think that's the first thing that we have to establish that we've talked about.”The Eagles’ offensive identity right now? It’s that they don’t have one.And after back-to-back losses and after averaging just 15.5 points in their four games since the bye week, the Eagles are again left searching for answers as the calendar gets ready to flip from November to December."I think we just gotta continue to bounce ideas off each other and find something that sticks,” Saquon Barkley said, "and go out there and make plays.”If they don’t figure it out soon, their season, with all its hopes and promises and exceptions, will be doomed. Are there even answers to find?"Absolutely. Absolutely,” receiver A.J. Brown said. "Anything can get better. Just having a positive attitude towards it. Really focus on it and continue chipping away. I said last game, we got the right people in this locker room to get it fixed. I believe that.”Brown has always been one of the more vocal Eagles when the offense has had its rough patches in recent seasons. His main public thoughts on Friday were about execution, or the lack of it.But this has become a tired song and dance. The offense struggles, the players get asked the same questions, they give the same answers. They’re now entering Week 14 and it’s getting harder the deeper they get into the season."Of course,” Brown said. "Because you’re racing for time to try to get it fixed.”One potential answer could be for the Eagles to switch play callers from Kevin Patullo to … someone else. After Friday’s loss, Nick Sirianni said flatly that he wasn’t going to demote Patullo from that post. But with an extended break before the next game against the Chargers on Monday Night Football in Los Angeles in Week 14, it’ll be fascinating to see if that holds true.Sirianni’s argument on Friday was that the problem isn’t with just one person and that might be true. But they might also be reaching the point where it’s worth it just to try something new."I don’t think something big needs to change,” Barkley said. "The sky is falling outside the locker room. We understand that. But I have nothing but the utmost confidence in the men in this locker room, players and coaches included. "And it’s going to take all of us. It’s going to take all of us to come together, block out the noise. Can’t be pointing fingers. All look internally. Because everybody is contributing to the way we’re playing right now. Literally every single guy. We’ve all go to play better.”The Eagles on Friday afternoon scored just 15 points and had just 9 until the waning minutes of the fourth quarter. They were out-gained 425-317. The Bears doubled them up in first downs 28-14. The Eagles were 4-for-12 on third downs. They turned the ball over twice. They held the football for under 21 minutes."This game, it was weird. It was different,” Barkley said. "It felt weird out there. I think we’ve just got to do a better job of keeping drives going and that’s kind of the biggest takeaway I take from this game. Something that we have to address and get better at.”All those are numbers to illustrate what your eyes already told you: This offense is broken right now.And the frustrating part of it is that it shouldn’t be. The Eagles returned 10 of 11 starters from a Super Bowl team and have the highest offensive payroll in the NFL. They have talent, they have experience, and it just hasn’t mattered much.Inside the Eagles’ locker room on Friday night, the players tried to show confidence. They tried not to panic. Even after a disastrous week with losses to the Cowboys and Bears, they’re still sitting atop the NFC East with five games to play."We’re 8-4,” Cam Jurgens said. "The sky is still above us. We win four and lose two and win four and lose two. Let’s win the next four.”Easier said than done. The sky might not be falling but it feels like the walls are closing in. And the Eagles are running out of time to fix it.https://www.nbcsportsphiladelphia.com/nfl/philadelphia-eagles/eagles-offense-left-searching-for-answers-after-another-dismal-outing/697770/
Monday at 12:25 PM5 days The identity is running the ball. But they can’t do that because the OL is beaten up, beaten down and not playing at a very high level. The RB also looks like he’s short of that explosive running that made him the best RB in the NFL last year. And the QB isn’t running as much as he has in the past meaning we are even more predictable. Oh and teams know when we are going to run so it’s very easy to play against.
