I'd like to think the only way Patullo is not let go after this season comes to an end is if the offense really comes together in the playoffs and it propels us to another Super Bowl (little-to-no confidence that will happen ... they've been trying to figure everything out all season and we haven't seen any signs of progress). So maybe Reich will be an option for the 2026 season.

Reich is possible, but Lurie (and Howie) have always been interested in the unexpected and pushing the envelope...my guess is that they would look for another up and coming candidate, seemingly from out of the blue...this has been their MO forever...

we forget that the hiring of Andy Reid in 1999 was a game changing hire (no pun intended). At the time he was a position coach (QB) and many lambasted the hiring as stupid because of Reid's lack of play calling and experience as a Coordinator...but look what happened, in many ways Lurie changed the paradigm, and suddenly it wasn't so abnormal to hire HCs from other positions like QB coach, RB coach, even ST coach (ie John Harbaugh).

not saying that they would never hire Reich, but I think they would rather look for the next great thing. Problem is that when you hire those guys, another team is going to snatch them away after a year if you have success (Moore, Steichen, etc...)...If they do go the retread route, I'd be interested in B. Daboll given his experience working with Jalen Hurts in the past.

What they need is like what they did with the defensive coordinator position in Vic Fangio.

Fangio probably will not get another head coaching opportunity and may not even want one. He's got loads of experience and has earned his spot in this organization for as long as he wants it.

The eagles need to find a senior offensive coordinator who doesn't want to be a head coach......that guy just might be frank reich.

I know Reich’s name gets thrown around quite a bit as he fits the description in your post, but here’s another name who probably first the description too that should warrant consideration, who should be available now due to the HC being fired … Todd Monken.

They hit on Reid, but they missed on McDermott, Juan Castillo, Brian Johnson, and now Kevin Patullo. I could forgive the concept of giving an up and comer a chance, but not when you're competing to defend your ring. There are certain points where the window is more open than others, and I really believe had we still had Kellen Moore, or someone of his caliber, we'd still be playing right now

I really want a Frank Reich/Brian Daboll combo.

Reich can be the Asst Head Coach, work on game planning which he’s great at. Put him on the field with the players/coaches.

Daboll can call plays from the booth.

Having Sirianni as HC really necessitates having 2 offensive guys because he’s useless.

I’ll be honest… No I don’t really want Reich in here as OC. I get the logic, I get the sense, he’s worked with Sirianni before and he’s done a good job here too. But it just feels like going backwards just to bring in someone who Sirianni can work with? And I know that’s important that the HC and OC have a good relationship but I don’t want Sirianni anywhere near the offensive scheme.
