His play this year certainly hasn't been as good. Better to do this now and put some healthy bodies in there. Excited to see what Robinson can do with some playing time. This is truly Jordan Davis' time to shine, though. Hell, Ojomo will be eligible for an extension as well (though he will likely have to wait until after the 2026 season for his pay day).

They're now changing the wording to "procedure" and not "surgery". Must be something like arthroscopy or something vs. full blown surgery? Either way, I imagine he misses more than 1 week for sure.

I really wish they would have sat those injured like Dickerson, Jurgens, and Carter earlier in the season to allow them to get closer to 100% for the stretch run (which we are now in). Add roster mismanagement to the list of failures by Sirianni this year.

Howie's personnel dept has done a horrible job drafting in rounds 3-7 the past 3 drafts. There aren't viable young back ups available except at LB which produces pressure to over play the vets. Look how many snaps Carter has played already this season. That's what happens when your offense is fear based of not throwing picks in the middle of the field and you don't attempt these passes and lead the league in 3 and outs. The D finally crashed last game from exhaustion. Nick and KP's high school offense is now running down the D

It wasn't surgery. Schefter reports it was therapy. Whatever that means. The question is whether or not this is soreness or inflammation or needs surgery. McLane said that last year's increased workload contributed to the shoulder issues so that makes is sound like it wasn't an actual injury and is wear and tear. But who knows, his phrasing could be misleading.

This has been ongoing throughout the season. He's had an underwhelming season, and playing through injury in the NFL is different. Rather him fix it now, than later.

Because they know what a lot of us have feared for some time… This is 2023 again. They’ve put this off because they hoped they could get him right but this is them sending a first signal that this team has revised its expectations.
