Posted December 9, 2025Dec 9 Unacceptable play these last 3 games! I don't care if he has a career game against the Raiders! I'd still boo him! He'd be unforgiven for a bit for these last 3 games!
December 9, 2025Dec 9 Can't defend his play but it won't matter even if you do. With this inept coaching staff, stupid game plans, horrendous play calling, it won't look much different. This is as embarrassing as it gets. The Eagles will not win another game this season.

Like Nick he needs the perfect situation to win. People were open all night and he missed them or made bad decisions.

Get McKee in there to see what they have and what they can do.

I don't want him hurt but also at the same time Nick needs his hands tied to make a change that might save the season

I almost just want Jalen to stub his toe or something so he’s out of the game on Sunday.

December 9, 2025Dec 9 Wishing injury on the only QB to take us to two SBs, who was SB MVP in the most recent SB, so that someone with one career start will play? Thats about as stupid as it gets.
December 9, 2025Dec 9 Yeah, Hurts has been awful. But what about AJ? I not going over 500 posts from last night, but the guy dropped three passes two of which are TDs and even the last pass, although with bone arm being held, could have been caught if he fought thru the hold and gave some effort. He is supposed to be the strongest WR in the league. Even giving him a pass on that one, he stunk. The two highest paid players on the team cost them the game. I don't see how AJ comes back next year, cap be damned. The organization won't put up with that lack of effort.
December 9, 2025Dec 9 Hurts has been pretty inconsistent no doubt. And if you're not gonna use him for running plays anymore, what advantage does he really give you over McKee?I think with a great Oline and running back, Hurts is the better QB for this team. It worked great last year. But now with bad Oline play and you just need an accurate QB who can make quick throws, McKee is probably better.Unfortunately this isn't Madden and you can't just swap out QBs willy nilly without repercussions and you need big balls to make a switch like that, which Nick doesn't have. But I do recall a similar situation in 1988 when the 49ers did a temporary swap and Steve Young played a few games and got them into the playoffs and then Montana came back and won the SB.

Thats about as stupid as it gets.Hurts was awful last night, I’m not going to try and defend him (although we would have won if Brown didn’t drop that ball in the end zone)But he isn’t getting benched. McKee has had one start against a bad team who had given up. He isn’t the next Brady. Hurts has won us a Super Bowl and should have had two if not for an abysmal showing by the D. Get him a half-decent coordinator and fix the line and he will be fine.
December 9, 2025Dec 9 Hurts has been terrible and definitely needs to be bench imo. But this fan base and thinking the second string qb is the next coming of Joe Montana is nuts. Right back to people wanting this same thing with bubby brister over cunningham lol
December 9, 2025Dec 9 He’s been terrible especially the last three games. That said, he’s not getting benched and it’s not worth discussing. The single biggest issue is coaching. We’ve seen Hurts play at a high level with competent coaching.
December 9, 2025Dec 9 That was the worst display of quarterbacking I’ve seen in a long time. The pressure inside and outside the building is buckling the quarterback.
December 9, 2025Dec 9 Hurts was the main reason we lost last night (to be clear, there were multiple reasons, but he has the biggest piece of the crap pie). He could play like that every game for the rest of the season and wouldn't be benched at any time. It just won't happen.
December 9, 2025Dec 9 I feel like at some point we need to know if he’s the real deal. Before they let him go, he signs elsewhere, and wins a Super Bowl while the Eagles are stuck with Hurts and draft another qb in the 7th round to be the next guy up.

If you play like poop you sit ... regardless of your status. Obviously their messaging (having to execute better) isn't getting through.
December 9, 2025Dec 9 The threat of Hurts used to be his legs. Hes clearly lost a step and teams no longer have to spy him or plan for it.

Old school coaches maybe did that more, but you almost never see it these days. Only case I can recall off the top of my head is last year, I think, when the Panthers benched Bryce Young for a few games. But, obviously, Young doesn't have anywhere near the resume as Hurts does.

December 9, 2025Dec 9 I don't think he needs to be benched, he just needs to go back to playing how he was before he started pressing these past 2 games. I like Hurts, but he's not Josh Allen and he's really only good for superman ball here and there. When he tries to do too much he turns it over too much, which is what has happened the past 2 games. Obviously last night's game was the worst he's been as he was forcing bad passes, and just off all game.I still think the bigger issue is playcalling, but I can admit that there's been a few times where Jalen has made the wrong read on plays.

I'm sure coaches have to consider the overall ramifications of such big moves when deciding whether or not to bench a player...a "star" player, that is. If Siri benched Hurts for this week's game and the Eagles lost to the Raiders...people, including the bosses, would question that decision. Plus, would it demoralize the team because they'd interpret it something like "we must be that bad if Hurts is being benched" or whatever? And how would Hurts himself handle it? And on the flip side....it would take a completely egotistical, gas-lighting type of coach to bench the QB if he knew the QB was struggling in large part to the coaching staff. "yeah, we suck and can't coach....but it's Hurts' fault!"
