Yeah besides the couple of great scrambles he had I don't think Hurts played amazing. But then again Super Bowl MVP is meaningless anyway. It's one game.

And you can't bench Hurts (unless he's injured) because it won't "fix" Hurts. By benching him you pretty much admit that Hurts can't work with this offensive scheme and you want someone else to drive it.

They would fire Patullo before benching Hurts.

It's meaningless yet it's constantly used as a defense mechanism for Hurts

It could clear his mind. Who knows what's wrong. There are reports that he doesn't want to run anymore and that he doesn't like to throw to the middle of the field. It's the Raiders so we should win either way

Media calls us the most knowledgeable fan base, good thing they dont hang out here.

Let this sink in... Hurts 2 (2nd year pending) worst years have been with 1st time OC. Give him some one with experience he's in the SB outplaying the baby goat

Ok, ok- that is YOUR OPINION, not FACTS. I hold to MY opinion. Your opinion is ONLY that- an opinion. Everybody has one, sort of like an a** hole.

Its not my opinion that none of the QBs from the games I listed were benched.

Its not my opinion that Eli won the Super Bowl in 2007.

But yes, you have nothing but an opinion.

Benching a franchise QB is only something a coach does when his job is on the line. Those "benchings" really aren't benchings, they're replacings. Sirianni isn't getting fired after this season, so it's important for him to demonstrate trust in his players.

How did that go in 2023?

We won a super Bowl the following year by not tearing everything down and Hurts was named MVP of that game.

The following year they won the Super Bowl, because they didn’t listen to unhinged rants by fans and media.

ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzZZZZzzzzzzzzz None of that other crap you mentioned has anything to do with this team. It doesn't affect them in any way.

His dumb arse got benched in a collegiate national championship game. So I'd have no issue with his horrendous play of late causing him to get benched again.

Big Red benched #5 once. Afterwards #5 got his inflated head out of his arse and played pretty good the rest of the season.

EXACTLY- it had a POSITIVE EFFECT on McNabb.

And your blather has no effect on the team.

Your weird belief that benching Hurts will accomplish something is pathetic.

First, I give you reality, where it did not have a positive effect.

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/McNaDo00/gamelog/2008/

Second, McNabb was not benched for the start of a game. (Its just astoundingly pathetic to think that he was)

The cult is asking for a repeat of something that never happened because basic research is beyond their capabilities.

He was benched at halftime, which is what Siri should have done but Siri is a moron.

If they don't have the processing power to get the difference, its OK. We don't really expect much of Hurts haters.

We also understand that McNabb having 5 TDs and 6 turnovers in the playoffs that year is something that haters could consider positive.

Its far more likely that they don't even know he had 6 turnovers in 3 playoff games.

Again, we justifiably have very low expectations of the Hurts Hate Cult.

No one wants 40 points vs Vegas on Sunday and then 3 points vs Buffalo in a few weeks followed by 5 TDs and 6 turnovers in the playoffs.

At least the people who respect and appreciate Hurts are aware enough to know what McNabb actually did in 2008.

Your wasting your breath. You are one of these people who MUST prove their point with a bunch of trash stats. I don't care. I said what I said. Bench his ass for a game and let it sink in.

Are you going to post on EVERY post I post on this??? You are a cyber stalker. 🤣🤣🤣🤡

With the snow, we should do the necessary, whatever we can to protect Jalen Hurts.

So, starting Tanner McKee is probably our best option.

If some of you were the coach, we'd turnover half our starting lineup every week lmao

LOL True. That's why this Board is so much fun. We're all goofballs.

I played LB and was the Kicker in HS and some college football, so I probably could replace Jake and Nakobe. 🦅🤓

Yep. Have to wonder in this day and age if players are too mentally soft when it comes to these things (or too "entitled"). I'm sure coaches have to consider the overall ramifications of such big moves when deciding whether or not to bench a player...a "star" player, that is. If Siri benched Hurts for this week's game and the Eagles lost to the Raiders...people, including the bosses, would question that decision. Plus, would it demoralize the team because they'd interpret it something like "we must be that bad if Hurts is being benched" or whatever? And how would Hurts himself handle it?

And on the flip side....it would take a completely egotistical, gas-lighting type of coach to bench the QB if he knew the QB was struggling in large part to the coaching staff. "yeah, we suck and can't coach....but it's Hurts' fault!"

I agree and this team would mutiny if they benched their starting quarterback right now. Did everyone forget what happened in 23 when they sacked their DC? The whole team basically quit. Benching Jalen does nothing but lose the locker room. Of course the people who are the loudest about benching Jalen are the types of people who wanted Jalen benched after Minshew lit up the Jets. The smart move here is to make no dynamic moves during the season. If the Eagles make any moves (and it will probably be at OC if anything) that will happen once the season is over.
