Did the beatdown of the Raiders spark more optimism going forward? Could it be the launching point this team needed? Or was the win more of a "fools gold" type of thing? In essence..."it was the Raiders".

Couple positives from the game that gives me hope.

They ran the most plays from under center in a game since Siri has been head coach. Hopefully that trend continues going forward.

They ran the least amount of hitches of any game this year and the most crossing routes

Hopefully that continues

Adoree jackson has seemed to settle in putting together another good game after playing well the week before

Hopefully that continues

Epps seems to have really solidified the back end

Hopefully that continues

And finally Even When Carter comes back I Think they might have found something with graham playing snaps at DT on passing downs

Hopefully that continues

I’m feeling "One game at a time.”

Adoree has come along quite nicely. The gestation and lack of confidence that plagued his play earlier in the season has disappeared. Kudos to him and his coaches. If he can be a decent CB2 going forward that makes Howie’s needs in the 2026 Draft considerably more manageable.

I agree with all that. I'll also add that getting Hurts more involved again in the run game is essential to the O's success....as long as he is decisive and remains healthy (there is some question about his ankle/leg after the awkward hit he took last week).

The game in a vacuum means very little. It was obviously good getting back in the win column but going forward, it is all about how they build on this. Winning on Saturday doesn’t just clinch the division, but it affords them the luxury to play out the final two weeks how they want as far as sitting guys fully, or spot playing them to avoid rust. Lose Saturday, and we now have to hope LA clinches the division for us. Dallas’ last two games, although on the road are against teams fighting for draft position. We don’t want the Buffalo game to have meaning for us. Playoff seeding is still in play, but team health is more important. The luxury of sitting guys if needed is bigger IMO. This team if healthy can win on the road.

You can't help but feel better. Yes we played a Neosporin team. That being said, This was the way we have expected this offense to look. Disciplined line play. Hurt running more and throwing less. The offense looking efficient, and the D in control. This shows they knew what the issues were and tried to win in spite of them. If we regress back to way it has looked prior it is 100 percent coaching and unforgivable.

I think Sirianni's involvement was evident. How far will that take us? We'll see; one game at a time. But it's encouraging to see them actually trying to fix the offense.

Sometimes you need a get right game against a get right team. That's what the Raiders were. Now they have two more games against the Commies they can use too. Playing back-to-back road games (they never had back-to-back home games btw) will be a challenge especially with the Bill absolutely needing that game. Regardless go lock up the playoffs and at least the three seed.

It was as expected. Do it again this Saturday.

Pretty good. This wasn't just a win or even just a run-of-the-mill lopsided victory. It was a complete game shutout. Total yardage blowout. That's difficult to do at the NFL level even against the worst teams in the league. It's something to build off of. I think if we're going to have any playoff success, our defense is going to have to play great football like that. Hopefully getting back a healthy(er) Carter can take us another step further to being a consistently dominant defense.

The offense was promising as well, but I don't expect them to be able to sustain that level of efficiency against better teams. I think we have flaws that aren't going to go away. I don't think we're going to be able to recapture last year's magical offense predicated around a dominant offensive line and running game, but I do think we can be good enough to not go through long stretches of 3-and-out football that also demoralize the defense.

In summary, I think that game proved we can still compete against anyone in the league, but I do think our defense will have to be the main catalyst that'll keep us playing deep into the playoffs.

Did you really expect that based on how this team has played? I surely didn't. I thought we "should win", but that's about it.

It was just a confidence boost for the team. Raiders didn't want to win and we did

TBD

It was nice to get the win and break the losing streak and a few things were positive IF they stick with them. At the end of the day thought whether you beat a team 31-0 or 31-30 it counts as one game in the win column.

Honestly, that's interesting. I didn't expect that purely based on how the O has played this year. I was thinking it might be like a 20-9 or 17-6 kinda game (which would have been disappointing...but not unexpected).

That was probably the most efficient win of the season by any team in the NFL. They litterally blanked them in the fastest game in Decades. When the 4th Qtr ended, other games were still in the 3rd Qtr around the NFL. Jalen damn near had a perfect rating again. Yes it was "Da Raiders". But had they struggled or had it been a close game, everyone would still be complaining. I said 5 weeks ago the Eagles magic number was 10 wins. I was correct. I think they just need to finish strong.

The only reason I feel "better' is I can stop comparing 2023 and 2025 collapses.
2023 team LOSES this game and disgusts us all. The 2025 team did what it was

supposed to do- win big. Pitching a shutout was nice. So that's that for the comparison.

Not that I expect this, but should we lose out you can damn well believe the comparison to 2023 won’t end. The fact that we didn’t just beat the Raiders but we absolutely dominated them was great. But they are likely looking more toward getting the #1 overall pick than they are winning meaningless games. So to me it is a "let’s see what they do next game” and then the next, and so on. Sure hope they got some things figured out offensively FINALLY but not 💯 convinced … in wait and see mode for now.

I agree with everything here, BUT- the 2023 team would have LOST to the Raiders, no doubt about it. This team BEAT them. That's where I'm coming from.

I think Washington will certainly play harder than the Raiders. Will be interesting to see if we dominate, win convincingly (by 2 or more scores), eek out a win or....lose. Anything besides the first 2 and we'll be right back where we were.

~Meh~ Better, I guess, but cautiously so.

Buffalo will be the real test.

It's been an interesting narrative that the Raiders are tanking and didn't even try. However, the previous 2 weeks before the Eagles, they played the Chargers and Broncos. They tried and scored at least twice and gained lot more yards. Just 2 weeks before that, they put up 16 points and 236 yards against the Cowboys. Earlier in the season they beat the Patriots and put up a lot more yards against the Bears and Colts. The Jaguars game went to OT and they lost by 1 point.

Yes, the Raiders stink and toward the end of the season you can argue they've given up. But then you look at the games against the Chargers and Broncos before playing us. We'll see what they do against the Texans, Giants and Chiefs to close out the season. If they put up a fight, that would prove they weren't just rolling over against us to tank.
