Gainwell is having a great year for Pittsburgh and I’m happy for him but I’d rather have Bigsby as a backup.

There are plenty of former Eagles around the league doing good, but do they need a thread on this site? Feels like an RnR move or that one thread we have titled The Fate of Former Eagles.

Don't let the title fool you. It's an EagleVA thread --- it is always about Howie.

Care to read some of his thoughts about Gainwell while he was here?

Yeah I can admit Kenny G is playing well, but the Eagles had to make some difficult choices on a lot of players on a SB team. A lot of them from that team are on other teams doing very well. Not sure what else could have been done in this situation.

EagleVA doesn't care one iota about Gainwell. All he wanted to get out in this thread was the following:

I'm sorry, the offense minds in Philadelphia are horrible, I could go on concerning who's not on the roster and who should be playing that's on the roster.

Well that’s poor on his part. This is the best era of Eagles football and it’s not close. Since Lurie got here the Eagles have been a top organization in this league.

He's the king of doubling down on stupid.

He’s always been that way though. He loves to double down on his viewpoint despite how crazy it is. 😂 Funny thing is if he made this less about Gainwell and made it more about the success of the guy Howie let walk, his negative FO rant might have some validity. I mean people would still disagree, but it at least makes his point somewhat understandable.

I don't think he gives 2 sheets about winning or the team as a whole he just likes to pretend he is smarter than the whole league by naming the the most obscure players as guys that should be starting

Ship should be returning KOs. I'm happy that the Eagles Coaches finally listened to me. 🏈🏈

I may have to reconsider this, about Ship and KOs. I think he was doing really well with it earlier this season. Lately, not so much. Seems to pitter patter with his feet and not burst into the hole/blocking. Could be inconsistent blocking though.

He got his name with us. He got his fame with us. He got his money from them; he's playing well for them. I have no problems with him not being here.

He did seem to play very well for the Stillers in yesterday's game against the Lions. Good for him.

I thought AJ Dillon was playing OK barring his one fumble that pretty much sealed one of our losses. We should, but we don't really use our depth at RB anyway.

This is what I was talking about, a player on the roster and not used, 3rd and 2 or 1 and they give it to Barkley, another 3 and out, that's exactly why you have a RB like Dillion, dude would not be denied at the rate Barkley is.

I've watched Dillion since he was a freshman at BC, he's too valuable to be riding the bench, dude can block and has hands of a WR.....there's serious problems with the offensive minds.

Dotson is fine at the slot. WR3 is irrelevant anyway on this team since QB can only get through one read.

I'll tell you what Hurts problem is, dude doesn't have his head in the game. I saw the Packers/Bears game and it was the 3rd time I saw Malik Willis play, he's mastered the Packers playbook already, calm, confident, and playing like an all-pro all 3 times I saw him because his head is in the game........Jordan Love is going to lose his job and Willis is going to be a top 3 QB in the league for years to come.

He has a boat load of catches for a lousy 5.8 yards per catch his lowest of his career. He has been more efficient on the ground than he has been his entire career here though.

Maybe you should see how many of the catches kept the chains moving on a crucial 3rd and whatever.

That's because the jackarses wasn't using him correctly, dude needs the ball in the open field via the pass and they rarely threw him the ball in the open field, all they did was handoff to him on running plays.

SMH that's just insane to me....I love Smitty....my favorite wr before him was Desean Jackson but Smith eclipses him with his insane body control and durability....that man is as good a receiver as I have EVER seen.....to say that he isn't very good is just ridiculous.....

That Westbrook dude is lying jerk, it's time to block his annoying arse if I haven't already done so.

What I said about Smith is he's not a #1 receiver in my book, that's why they brought in AJ Brown, and truth be told, they need another WR to bump Brown to #2 and Smith to #3, unfortunately, the draft doesn't have the #1 they desperately need, namely a speedster that's feared, currently, neither Brown nor Smith is feared by the DBs, they're not running away from anybody.

Calls me a liar then proceeds to tell us how Smith should really be a #3 on this team lmao

I thought it looked like a possibility they were going with Gainwell as RB1 before all the changes came and I was fine with it. I thought Gainwell could have been fine in this offense. I also thought Ringo was going to be a great CB2 though, so... 🤭

Glad to see him having some success this season. He seems like a good hard working guy and team mate.

I get what you are saying but he was the number one before AJ got here and did just fine....I still have not heard anyone else say this because in my opinion, they are BOTH number ones....Brown fights through contact consistently and Smith catches just about everything thrown his way....but your opinion is your opinion....
