That 5th year option is looking like it will be a bargain. It will be a contract year for him as well.

YAY!!!!!!!

KINGS OF THE EAST BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Despite my consistent trashing of Dickerson and Jurgens on this forum, I still think the Eagles are a dangerous team. It's a big mistake for other teams to take the Eagles lightly in the playoffs.

I'm still not sold on how we'll do in the playoffs, We just beat 2 teams that have a combined 6 wins in 29 games. A good barometer will be Buffalo next week

Gotta imagine. AJ cant be mad going to playoffs every season as an eagle. Regardless of stats. Right?

Yea. Howie needs to tell him going back to Tennessee is always an option.

AJ is a very important part of our team. The minute he came here in 2022 we instantly became wa more explosive on offense. Did you see him snatch that pass out of the air like that? I think him and Jalen really worked through some issues during those losses (His numbers did improve over the last month). I want AJ on this team and they need to resign Goedert too. AJ can be dramatic sometimes but he does not want to be on a trash and losing team. He loves being here and winning. He had a great game last night.

Honestly the offense is better, the targets are being shared better, the running game is starting to work, they still need to clean up the execution on missed plays like the sailed ball to Brown and the Smitty end zone drop, but they no longer look a million miles away like they did mid season.

Be interesting to see how they go against the Bills.

Nope....every important starter shouldn't even see the field for the next 2 weeks. Jurgens, Dickerson, Mailata, Lane, Hurts, AJ, Smith, Goedert, the whole defense. Dean injured his hamstring. Rest everyone, get as healthy as humanly possible. The Eagles basically are locked into the 3 seed. Their schedule has been brutal. From the teams they had to play, to the home, away, home, away (they NEVER played 2 games at home - or away for that matter in a row), from the fact that they had like 6 short weeks and played on every possible day (Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday)........shut them down.

Fact is, this offense is not all the sudden going to become the Greatest Show on Turf. This defense has nothing to prove. The best thing to do is make sure no one gets injured and, the injured (Dickerson, Jurgens, Carter, Lane, Dean, etc.) all get as much time to get as healthy as possible.

Could you imagine, you play the starters next week and Hurts tears his ACL? Brown pulls his hamstring? Dickerson's leg finally falls off? Mitchell breaks his leg? Nope...there is NOTHING to be gained.

Get as healthy and as rested as possible, use that first playoff game at home to try and build momentum. Then hope that the defense, the team rested and healthy carry them back to the Super Bowl.

Depends what percentage of DIVA he is.

I believe there's still room for improvement, especially where the play calling is concerned. I suspect we haven't seen a lot of the playbook yet. To use an AR term, the play calling has been fairly vanilla. Sirianni's MO appears to be to hold your cards close to your chest until the stakes become high enough. With all of the teams using analytics this makes sense. Once you put it out there teams can prepare for it and defend against it. I don't think it's a mistake that we all have spent most of the regular seasons under Sirianni frustrated with the play calling. It's a feature not a bug.

This was what was said in 2023 that they were holding all this offense back for the playoffs... I didn't buy it then and I'm not buying it now. This isn't the 2023 team I'm definitely not saying that. I'm just saying they are not purposely playing half ass to save it for the playoffs that seems like a stupid game to play.

I'm not sure I buy it either but it sure seems that way.

I didn't scroll back through this thread, but how many people watched the first half of the game and just felt like yep, this is the same friggin team we've seen all year? Mistakes (missed FGs, ST fumble, etc) and letting a completely inferior team have life heading into the half. Then it took 2 killer penalties on Washington's D for us to get our 2nd TD. And by that point, we were facing Josh Johnson and Washington basically folded.

The offense is showing some signs of life the last 3 weeks, but I'm still not convinced that they'll show well when we play an actual defense. Buffalo's defense is middling, but certainly better than Washington's or the Raiders' D. And Buffalo's defense's strength is against the pass...so, let's see what the passing game looks like this week.

Totally agree. Had it not been for the penalties and mariota injury it would have been a lot closer

That can be misleading because they may rank so high against the pass because teams don't bother passing as much because of how bad they are against the run. I think that plays into our favor.

True...but overall Buffalo's D is better than the last 2 we've faced and they'll be the only motivated team as well. I'm fully expecting another frustrating day for the offense. I think we'll need to score at least 27 points to beat the Bills. Can they?

I don't know what to expect from this offense anymore. I just hope th defense can keep them in it long enough for the offense to get going. The offense seems to be a bit better but , like you said against bad defenses.

I didn't mind the offense today, I mean agains the Raiders too, but...they were the Raiders...and the Commanders, we'll see.

Best game for Barkley and the rushing offense in general, had some pretty good runs.

Still can't explain why Bigsby can't be a little more involved

by the way, finally back to back Division Champs!

let's hope back-to-back becomes a theme around here...😉

I've watched the TD pass to Goedert like 578 times. Awesome play by him and Hurts. Especially.....Hurts.

When I said that at times he reminds me of Reggie...(When he blocked the field goal on special teams) Everyone laughed at me and the mod called him fat and slow.

Irrelevant of that, Jordan is a key part of our defense and he definitely overachieved everyone's expectations this year. I sincerely hope that he stays.
