Looking like Eagles against Niners or Rams at the Linc again in the Wild Card game

A shootout I agree. A slug fest may be our best chance at advancing. Our defense can keep us in a game against anyone in the NFC playoff field. The offense needs to not turn the ball over, and avoid 3 and outs for quarters or full halves of games.

Agreed. Good points. I sometimes forget how good our Defense can be at times.

Its a potential matchup in Chicago that worries me the most...

I like the Eagles chances in a rematch. I don't think they get run over again. But it appears it would be in Chicago in late January.

It doesn't really matter who the eagles play.......they aren't going very far with this offense. They may squeeze out a 1st round win, but you're not going to win much with an offense that scores, maybe, 18 points a game.

The defense is the real thing, but even they started to tire against the bills because the offense had 17 f----- yards in the 2nd half. And I'm tired of hearing Sirianni talk about learning and getting better and figuring things out.....In the 16th game of the season?? When you get to the 16th game of the season and the HC & OC are still trying to "figure things out", that should tell you they don't know what to do.

If the Rams win they're final 2 (tonight at the Falcons, next Sunday host the Cardinals), and SF beat Seattle next weekend, then SF would move to the 1 seed, LA would jump up to the 5 seed and Seattle would be the 6 seed (even though they would have the same record, LA would be ahead of them in the seeding based on a better division record). So it seems most likely we face Seattle in Philly in the WC round. But, if we win next weekend and Detroit beats Chicago moving us up to the 2 seed, then we'd face GB. So I think the 2 most likely opponents are Seattle and GB, not SF or LA.

I’m kind of torn on whether I want to face the Niners. On paper it looks like perhaps the easiest match up we could have. But losing to the Niners (IF that were to happen) would hurt way too much. I hate the Niners, I hate them nearly as much as I hate Dallas (both recent history and a former friend who’s a Niners fan). And losing to Purdy? The most overhyped and overrated QB purely based on where he was drafted. No that wouldn’t be good and would end a rather unenjoyable season.

I do not want to face the Niners. Sure, their defense stinks but that offense has been unstoppable. Have you seen them the past few weeks? We can’t keep up with that.

Either way it's gonna be rough but we might have a slightly better chance of beating the Niners on the road than the Rams on the road. Either way I don't think we have enough firepower to match either of them despite how well our defense is playing. I don't think this team is built to win shootouts.

Yeah if the Niners win it all it will finally put to rest that defense wins championships!

Same I don't understand how anyone can root for the Niners in any situation. Everything about that team, their annoying fans, etc is insufferable. I was watching this stream yesterday where all these dumb Eagles fans were rooting for the Niners to beat the Bears. Unbelievable.

Yay for us! We're going to get boat-raced at Home in the 1st round! So so excited!!

🫣😜😋

So very torn. The offense regressed back to historically embarrassing while the D looked like it take on any offense. So I am just shrugging my shoulders.

I mean that offense has put up points and has looked good but that comes with context right. The Colts have been bad for weeks, the Bears have something going right now but are up and down on defense. Yeah Shanahan is a really good play caller and offensive mind. But Purdy is just not that good and our defense is elite. So I don’t agree that we can’t keep up with that.

I do not want the Niners but I also don’t want them to get the #1 seed. They are almost as bad as the Cowboys! That fan base is scum and that team and those players are insufferable.

Need to go for 2 seed.

3 seed - we will be playing the Rams and if we get through that Bears at Soldier Field, then San Francisco or Seattle away.

2 seed - Packers, then Bears, Seattle at 49ers at home. Reasonable chance Rams win other game which would give us home field in championship game,

Need to go for 2 seed - difference in those fixtures is huge.

Hard "to go for it" when we also need the Bears to lose. Eagles need to have a bye week. I think we can beat Wash with our backups. Especially if Mariota is still out. With that said. Lane needs at least 1 series as well as Dean if he's back.

Why? I wouldn't risk a setback ... especially for Lane. Those Lis Franc injuries are tricky, especially for 300+ lb linemen who need to anchor. Even if Sirianni decides to play the starters (for the record I don't think he will) and Lane was able to go, I'd still sit him. I'm not saying this game is meaningless, but it is no where near as meaningful as the following week.

The Rams defense still looks very susceptible to outside zone runs, which was the strength of the Eagles' run game last season. Bijan just carved them up. Still have questions about our OLine this season, but the Rams defense doesn't scare me. Their front 4 are undersized and can be pushed around without Darnold around any more. And Stafford can be pressured into mistakes. I think the Eagles match up very well with the Rams and there is a reason we have beat them every time we have faced them the last few seasons. I also think the Eagles match up well with GB, especially without Parsons. I think the Eagles match up well with just about every NFC team. Although the Bears give me some pause because of their run game. And I don't know what to think about the Seahawks because the Eagles didn't play them this season.

Just to knock the rust off. I guess it would benefit Dean more than Lane.

So what happened to all that talk about the 2 seed lol

SF 24 Philly 6. The season is over. The Eagles offense line is incompetent. Can’t run block, can’t pass protect. That combined with stupid offensive coaching staff and there’s no hope.

They better draft all OLs this year and get a new OL coach or it’ll be more of the same.

Lane can’t stay healthy. Stoutland is over the hill, clearly, as results have proven this year. All of the interior guys suck.

The most ironic week of all time. Eagles decided to rest their players when the Lions give them a shot a seed 2. I am sure Sirianni expects the Bears and Seattle to lose early in playoffs but this is a risky call. And if Eagles are not healthy enough to play in week 17 they will not be better in 2 weeks. If Eagles lose in divisional we all will look at this week 17 as a reason why. Eagles are their worst ennemy this year. But it is possible Eagles do not even reach the NFC divisional. I have zero confidence in this offense. It is very ugly to see them. I think 49ers go for an upset

The crap part is I live in the SF Bay Area so I will be hearing about it all week, and if we lose, I'll be hearing all about it again. I'm really not that upset that we don't have the 2nd seed, however I was hoping we'd get the Rams in the Wildcard because I think we can beat the Rams in Philadelphia

If we somehow end up playing the rams in the playoffs it will still be in Philadelphia --- although it would still be a home game for the Eagles if it was in LA.
