December 22, 2025Dec 22 We know he's not a choker -- he's consistently hit clutch kicks throughout his career. But we have also seen that he can lose his mechanics ... e.g., he did that last year and then got things corrected for the Super Bowl. Given that the three kicks he missed Saturday were virtually identical -- well struck but pulled just two or three yards wide to the left -- I have hope that he will be able to make the appropriate correction and make his kicks the rest of the year. If not, then yeah, of course you have to bring in some competition.
December 23, 2025Dec 23 Good post, Lennie. The fact that all 3 missed kicks were the same way, tells me that it's a mechanical issue. Which I think can be corrected. If the missed kicks were all over the place, and short, might tell me something different. I kicked in HS and low Division College football, and it was always a physical issue with me when I missed a FG or XP (hamstring issues). C'mon Jake! We need you!!🥰🦅
December 29, 2025Dec 29 I did look out of curiosity. Elliot's career FG % is 4% higher than Akers. Did not expect that.
