Firstly 3rd seed isn’t locked up yet (it will be if Panthers lose to Seahawks).

But Bears could lose last two and the 2 seed would be great. (Would likely mean Bears at home followed by Packers or South winner at home).

Once 2 seed is realistically gone - rest the starters. Hurts can sometimes be rusty after 2/3 weeks off as well.

Completely agree! We play the starters in case anything happens that could change our seeding. There’s also a slim possibility that if we lost both games (not unfeasible if we rest the starters) and Carolina win both their games we would slip to the #4 seed.

Have to do it.

Totally agree -- it's situations like this where Siri earns his salary. He needs to manage these next two weeks appropriately so the team is sharp come Wildcard Weekend.

Yep agreed. Play the starters this week, see what happens in the rest of the league, and then sit EVERYONE the following week, if possible.

100 you play the starters. This is a huge test of where we are as a team. Beating the Bills would be great momentum and a huge confidence boost going into the playoffs.

Disagree. I would let some starters rest. Perhaps Johnson on offensive line, and Carter on defensive line. Maybe one or two others who are hurting.

Do not think that the risks of further injuries worth the potential seed chase. Just my opinion.

This is a tough call. The only reason to play everyone (vs resting those that have been nursing nagging injuries and trying to play through them) is if there is a decent chance to improve seeding. The 1 seed is out of reach now (the 9ers win over the Colts shut the door on that). The 2 seed remains a possibility. The best path to there is winning our final 2 while Chicago loses their final 2 (they play the 9ers and Lions). So it comes down to, what are the chances of all that happening. I think it is a safe assumption the odds are < 50%. So is it better to play the odds or give some of those dealing with injuries an extra week to recover and get as close to 100% possible for the WC game. Tough call. And there is no right or wrong. But I don't think any of this matters ... I think Sirianni will play everyone and shoot for the 2 seed.

I think they find the balance. You don’t risk Johnson or potentially Carter, but you play the starters. If we win - huge momentum into the playoffs, locks up the 3 seed and then we can see if the 2 is on the table for Week 18.

If a player is healthy enough to play the game, he plays. Doesn't have to play the entire game, though.

The 3 seed is not even locked up, you play for the highest seed you can, so glad some people here have zero influence on this team

I wouldn't want Lane and Carter playing on that wet Buffalo turf...

The seeding shouldn't be the mean and end all, does it matter? Yes, but not the extent some folks are saying.

IMO 2 weeks of rest getting the starters healthy (Oline especially) and go out and win rest of the games in the Playoffs be it at home or away. Eagles are reigning Superbowl champions, they should be able to walk into someone else's house and impose their WILL, if they can't it's on the coaching and QB to a large extent, that's what GOAT teams do like the Cowboys of the early 90s, Broncos of the mid 90s..

As I said, there is no right or wrong. And again, I don’t think any of this matters … I believe Sirianni is going to play whoever is deemed OK to play.

Don’t know how accurate these numbers are but:

The eagles are not as dominant as those teams and those team had either the 1 or 2 seeds

1 seed is gone bc of SF win Monday. I don’t see how two seed is "extremely unlikely” but obviously they’ll need help. But if bears win on snf they should treat week 18 like a bye especially since WAS will be head hunting. I still remember that dirty hit on hurts.

Our game is at 4 and Carolina plays at 1. We will know if #3 is locked if/when Carolina loses. We will be resting our starters after the half and most likely play a very vanilla game in the 1st half.

Carolina loss will mean they can't catch us.

Rather have a week 18 bye week vs a #2 seed if at all possible.

An OL that run blocks like 2024 and a Barkley that runs like 2024 will do far more than 2nd seed or 3rd seed or 4th seed will EVER do for this team.

And 21 calendar days of rest give you a chance at that. If this OL plays like that, they’ll win the SB as the 7th seed. If they play the way they have lately, they’ll drop a home playoff game against the worst team in the playoffs.

Get the OL healthy.

Looks like the Eagles made it out safely from Buffalo at the right time. Weather conditions appear to be deteriorating up there. Nothing is worse than an ice storm.
