Jurgens has been flat out awful and Carter seems like he has missed half the season. Why these things shouldn't matter. Imagine having a bonus pro bowl clause in your contract and Jurgens gets in and you get left out.
December 23, 2025Dec 23 Jurgens is surprising considering how far we've fallen off at run blocking, and Carter is definitely having a bad year even though I think he is a top 5ish player at that position. Davis could be considered a snub, he's outplayed Carter this year, and I think if Dean hadn't missed half the season, he'd be a shoo in, too.
December 23, 2025Dec 23 Jurgens making the pro bowl and jordan davis not shows what a joke the pro bowl is Jurgens has been one of the worst centers on the whole league this year and Davis has been one of the best DTs in the league while Jalen carter has struggled all year.Pro bowl been a joke for a while this confirms it again Baun mitchell and dejean are all deserving. The true measure will be all pro, I expect Jordan may be on one of those.

December 23, 2025Dec 23 Don't get Jurgens at all. He is the 2nd worst lineman in my opinion next to Steen.
December 26, 2025Dec 26 Jurgens pretty much stunk most of the year. And Carter barely played. Davis has played way better than him. It's like voting for the HS Prom Queen/King. 🧐🧐

December 27, 2025Dec 27 Baun yes. DeJean and Mitchell hell yes. Carter? No way. How has he even made it? Based on his performances he’s been nowhere near it and in fact Davis has deserved it more. Jurgens? He’s been flat out awful likely because he’s banged up.
December 28, 2025Dec 28 At this point the pro-bowl selection process needs to be revamped. It is dumb and doesn't make any sense. Especially with something I heard the other day how it ties into players' contracts and money. It can kick in escalators for the 5th year option for rookie contracts. Which means that there is real importance to it for rookie 1st round, but they can get screwed because of how bad the voting system is.All Pro is the real measure, but it doesn't get the recognition that the pro-bowl does to the average fan.Fan voting is cute and all, but why even allow it to count when fans aren't objective the vast majority of the time? As a fan, I'd rather see players make the pro-bowl that are deserving. And the pro-bowl has more spots, so it allows more players at each position to make it, so it should allow for more visibility beyond All Pro. We aren't getting that right now. In my opinion the fan vote shouldn't count, but they should list the fan voting to show who are the most popular players around the league.

They want fans to feel like they are important and in the process sell merchandise through the NFL shop link. So they created the fan vote. I believe last season Blankenship was the leading NFC fan vote getter at Safety. He was not a Pro Bowler. Every year there's a team that seems to stand out because their base tries to "win the fan voting." In the end, the players and coaches decide the Pro Bowl rosters and the fans that waste time voting are either Swifties or just as gullible.

Said " everyone and their mother gets a vote"

Said " everyone and their mother gets a vote"The process was stupid before the "fan vote" was enacted. Many of the players and coaching staffs are going to vote for teammates and friends. That's why the All Pro lists have always been more prestigious. Even the top 100 players list voted by players more accurately reflects the best of the best because it doesn't really factor position into the rankings. As far as the mythical fan vote matters, there were like 16 packers players that made the top 10 at their positions. this season. Kelce was the leading overall vote getter in the NFL (we all know why). When the "fan vote" was created, the NFL stated it would be 1 of 3 voting processes with the other two still being the players and the coaches. But the NFL never stated the weight of the fan vote as 1/3 even though that's what we are led to believe and what many people report. To this day, there is no transparency to verify the results are affected by fan voting.

A couple of the better ones in the NFC missed more than half their games with injuries. It's kind of like When Chad Lewis was a Pro Bowl TE, it wasn't because he was a great TE, but because the NFC didn't really have anybody better.
