The internet says SF holds the tiebreaker and would be number 5 seed over the rams if they both finish 12-5. So basically the rams are locked into the #6 seed and will probably rest their starters.

Looks like we lose we play the rams

We win and the Bears lose we play the packers

This says 5 seed still in play for Rams if they win and SF loses.

Ok AI google search was telling me that the 9ers held the tiebreaker but it looks like according to other sites the rams hold the tiebreaker

Are we even sure that rest is going to make Cam Jurgens suddenly not suck anymore?

Toth should replace him. My dead Grandma could beat Cam off of the line of scrimmage. He plays on ice skates. The LG stinks too. The interior of the OLine is horrible this season.

If the Rams win and SF loses next weekend, they would both be 12-5:

Tiebreaker #1: head-to-head (9ers beat Rams week 9, Rams beat 9ers week 13)

Tiebreaker #2: division record (both would be 4-2)

Tiebreaker #3: common games (this is where the Rams would win the tiebreaker ... they'd have an 8-3 total record in common games played while SF would be 7-4).

Hopefully they both lose! Plus the Bears and we beat the commies with our backups!

Skins will be playing for the highest draft pick, they will play to lose. Eagles can rest their starters and still win, which is what I think they will do...

I hope they make a serious attempt for the 2 seed. Obviously we need Detroit's help, but there is a real good chance the 2 seed could be playing at home thru the entire NFC playoffs. Assuming the NFC South division winner doesn't win in the wild card round I think that locks the divisional round 1 seed into a NFC West rematch (assuming the 2 seed beats GB).

That would be best case scenario. Get the W and give the players extra rest. At this point they aren’t going to stumble on anything new to get the offense on track.

I mean the commanders fo probably doesn't want to win the game but the players on the field and the coaches do. We go through this every year and every year teams that are supposedly tanking still end up winning these kinds of games

This just isn't true about Washington playing for the highest draft pick. The front office and owner can make decisions on the starting lineup to try and force a loss, but the players and coaches will still play hard and want to win. It is always an opportunity for players to sell themselves to the next potential team as a bunch of players may be on expiring contracts or a trade target.

You can bet the Commanders will be playing to win to get revenge for "running up the score” (by going for 2 instead of 1)! lol

This game screams to rest the starters. The season is too long. The team will play better in the playoffs with fresh legs and rested starters. Do not underestimate the impact that a rested Lane Johnson will have for the team as well. Snagging the number 2 seed would be nice, but a lot of that is out of the Eagles' hands at this stage.

We go from favorites as the #2 seed against GB to underdogs against the Rams as the #3 seed. I wouldn’t mess around, get the #2 seed which has the potential for home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Home field advantage really counts for something in the playoffs.

Best case scenario is we are able to accomplish both ... give most of the starters a week off to get some much needed rest and we are still able to beat Washington. The out-of-our-hands part is hoping Detroit beats Chicago - obviously hard to expect that and I would say the odds are slightly against it happening. All fingers crossed everything rolls in our favor.

Yup look at the Saints, who absolutely should have tanked but have suddenly gone on a 4 game streak and can't make the top 5 picks any more and could even drop out of the top 10 with another pointless win against the Falcons.

Hoping the Jets lose (they're playing Buffalo ... McDermott has already stated he is playing the starters in week 18 after losing to us) and the Giants manage to beat Dallas. That would bump the Jets up 1 slot in the draft order (from 3rd to 2nd). We have their 3rd from the Reddick trade.

You can build through free agency, through the draft, and through winning.

I don’t know if you are an eagles fan or not every post you make is we can’t beat that team blah blah.. we beat the rams already though it not by much. They just lost to the falcons throwing 3 ints.

Anyway it’s all scripted anyway it’s whoever gives them the biggest ratings and whoever pays the refs enough to get the calls roll

I remember when people were going off about how it's scripted for the commanders and lions last year. That worked well lol.

The only ones rabbling about it being scripted are the fans of the teams that lost or fear they will lose. lol

Looks like it will be McKee and the 2s leading the way for the chance at that 2 seed.

I guess you haven’t watched the Eagles this year. Their offense will struggle to keep up with high scoring offenses. It took two miracles to beat the Rams at home this year. 99 times out of 100 we lose that game. Last year in the playoffs, it looked like we had the game wrapped up after the Barkley TD, and the game still came down to the final seconds. Do I think we can beat the Rams? Of course, Sirianni is undefeated against McVay. Would I rather play Green Bay? 100%. We had no problem beating GB and now they’re missing their best defensive player. Sign me up.

Those high scoring offenses won't score many points against our defense. They score points against defenses that can't stop them.

I saw a good point on a show this week or last that mentioned people will say what an amazing game when both teams are in a shootout and there is no defense, but they will do the reverse when the defenses come to play and the offenses struggle. The Eagles need to be less conservative on offense and more consistent, but the defense is a SB caliber defense and can win games all on its own. Their offense is somewhat complementary by not turning the ball over most of the time and putting the defense in compromising situations. But the offense really does need to be able to sustain more drives and help the defense out more.

That’s what I worry about. The defense was tremendous against Buffalo but they were gassed at the end of the game. All we really needed was a FG in the 2nd half and the offense didn’t come close. They need to sustain some drives and keep the D fresh.

The Devonta catch overturn was ridiculous and they would have had at least one 1st down. But yes, they need to sustain some drives in the 2nd half to give the defense a rest. The offense cannot continue to be run-run-try and convert 3rd and 10+. It worked last season when those first and 2nd down runs were gaining 5+ yards a pop.
