All I know is tomorrow for the first time ever I'm going to be a huge Seahawks fan.

I know, I'm interested as well to see how the offense looks. There are some fans that are happy about this and think the offense is held back by Hurts. I'm curious to see what they say if the offense still looks the same and performs the same. This board will become unbearable if they win this game with McKee and he plays well. Then they flop in the playoffs with Hurts.

Happy Hurts isn’t playing only so that he avoids injury. If the offense is significantly more productive and it looks much more functional then I’ll stick with my initial assessment that Patullo the former pass game coordinator is unable to scheme around Hurts’ strengths.

I think this is more of a Patullo problem then any one player but, at the same time the execution isn't there a lot this year as well. That being said I think it's hard to execute plays when the play calling has no rhythm or sometimes just flat out doesn't make sense.

Look forward to seeing the back-ups playing in a game. Good showing would enhance their chances for next season. Some may even get the chance to play in the playoff games.

The Commanders game is a winnable one even with our bench players. So the #2 seed is very much in play. Even for the OC who can be calling plays without the pressure of must-win situation. Showcase for him to have relative free-hand and be creative.

Me too! I’d much rather they get the #1 seed and if they do at least I can tell myself they were the more deserving. SF have had a soft schedule so they don’t deserve to be the #1 seed. Also can’t stand them or Purdy so let’s just get them gone from the playoffs asap.

Execution I blame mostly on 3/5s of the starting OL playing injured. I don’t know why they just didn’t sit some of those guys earlier in the year and allow them to get healthy and play some of the backups (that’s why we have them on the roster). Blame Sirianni for that but also blame Patullo for not being able to adjust the scheme to account for the injuries. Scheme to avoid the weaknesses and take advantage of the strengths. But I do wonder how much the lack of execution is due to the players not going 💯 because they know the playcalling is so JV league and that frustrates them.

This is what I was trying to say , you said it way better lol. I agree though and think the same

Well looks like we will be getting the 49ers...revenge time?

Most likely. Unless the Bears fall on their faces against Detroit and we end up winning against Washington.

Probably the easiest match up we could get (well then or Green Bay) but probably the worst match up for me in my opinion. Our season ending to the Niners is the one thing I couldn’t stomach so I’d rather just avoid them. Hopefully the Bears slip up and we can handle the Commanders.

Of all the teams in the NFC playoff picture, the 9ers are the team I dislike the most mostly because of all the chirping they did following that January 2023 playoff game when we knocked out their top 2 QBs. Having steamrolled us the following year which really was the catalyst to the wheels falling completely off losing 5 of our final 6 to close out the season just added more reason to dislike them. So while I agree that should we lose to them again that would suck major arse, but on the flip side, imagine how gratifying it would be if we face them and be the team to end their season! flex

I think we match up well against the 49ers and they have a lot of injuries. Defensively the 49ers aren’t all that great.

At this point I don’t really care who we end up matched up with in round 1. With how bad the offense has been I don’t expect us to go very far in the playoffs … even if we win WC weekend I don’t feel very confident we advance much further. Hopefully they prove me wrong.

3 seed it is.

Poor game by McKee.

Ringo blows.

Bennett blows.

We’ll host the 9ers next weekend.

I think there is way too much criticism of this organisation and these coaches at times.

But they got this badly wrong. The 2 seed is far from meaningless - Pack look to have packed it in - tough first round matchup. Then likely road game.

Well I guess we are going to find out! Sadly in my view.

Almost got there. Only a spectacularly bad coaching decision stopped us just short

Add Siri to that list for putting all of them in Meaningful game

And surprise surprise they can’t capitalize

If we had won with second seed and were home against pack who would have been our likely 2 team dependency for 2nd round? I am curious about shot for second round home game given how things could have played out. Anyone know offhand?

Looks like depending on game outcomes we would have hosted one of Panthers / Rams / Niners so two home games if we got through the Pack at home. Kind of a big deal IMO but maybe they get a lucky break.

Guess all we would need for a second home game is the packers to beat the Bears. Then we would face the winner of the panthers rams at home.

Chi win = chi

Chi loss + carolina win = carolina

Chi loss + carolina lose = la (or whoever is 5th seed)

Off the top of my head I am unsure of other scenarios..

To be honest as a football fan I think I prefer this matchup than the Birds playing the Packers again. Its gonna be a grudge match next week can't wait!

Going healthy is important but getting the second seed was important too. Eagles just blew a perfect opportunity. It is never easy to win on the road in playoffs and winning in Chicago and Seattle. Eagles just made hard on themself. It will backfire them. Or maybe not cause they must play the 49ers and with this Eagles offense i have zero confidence.
