Jalen. Of course it is.

  1. Hurts.

  2. Foles.

  3. McNabb.

  4. Cunningham.

  5. Vick.

  6. Jaworski.

  7. Van Brocklin.

  8. Wentz.

With this O-line, mobility, decisiveness, and toughness are key traits. Well, that's what I believe.

In their prime give me the ultimate weapon, Randall Cunningham.....

Like McNabb puking in the Super Bowl.

Basically take each player at their absolute best (Vick vs Redskins, Cunningham 4TD 100 yd rushing game, Foles 7 TD game, etc.)

Gotcha.

Ill maintain that ramblin randall is the most talented QB the eagles have ever had, Mcnabb has the stats and Foles and Hurts while not as talented as either are both clutch performers and elite leaders.

Randal is used to playing with out an O line so hed be fine with the current crap show O line and hes got a bigger arm than hurts and foles and is a better runner than hurts so id lean towards cunningham but its a tough call.

Ultimately I think Koy from the niners game😉

without their defects? You mean Randall would be able to read defenses?

Randall never won anything.

I wouldn't mind seeing how he would fare in today's NFL with our O-line from 2021 - the present.

No Guido Merkens?

Randall for most of his career was poorly coached as well. I’m a huge Randall fan, but I don’t see him winning the big game here. He had that stacked Vikings team and still lost.

Foles

Gary Anderson missed a 38 yard FG that would have put the vikings up by 10 with just over 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter. I'd hardly put that on RC. We had 3TDs called back due to penalty in the Fog Bowl and Keith Jackson let an easy TD go through his hands. Heath Sherman had 2 fumbles vs the Rams.

Football is and always will be a team sport.

Yet Randall was there every time and won nothing. Let’s not forget the Redskin and Ram losses too. What is even the debate here? The Eagles have two SB winning quarterbacks and only 4 in franchise history to ever go. None of them are named Cunningham.

Foles at his best is basically equal to the best QB to ever live, with half the weapon talent of the modern Eagles, but it took a lot to get him at his best. I think because of that, this question is unfair. Foles.

There was like two sides to Foles, career journeyman, and Hall of Famer, and when that latter side came out, you basically lose the game automatically. Lol.

What do you think Jalen Hurts' record would be if he had the O-line Randall had as an Eagle?

2017 Carson Wentz was on another level. If we could have that guy from 2022-present we are looking at a dynasty. People forget how good that dude really was that year before the injury derailed his career.

I don’t know, but what I do know is that Randall even when he had a line and a total team he didn’t win it and when the game comes down to the kicker and you don’t win it’s kind of on you. What might Randall’s career could have been if developed faster as a player? Really would’ve, could’ve, should’ve doesn’t matter. The bottom line is Jalen got it done when Randall didn’t. I’ll add when Jalen goes up against the elite quarterbacks in the league, he’s come out on top. How many times do you remember Randall besting the elite quarterbacks of his prime?

How in the world did Wentz get two votes over McNabb? A career .500 quarterback with no playoff victories, and only one career season with double digit wins. Wentz rarely won any of his head to head games with elite level quarterbacks. Yeah McNabb puked in the SB, but guess what? He got there. Hero ball never did.

Just to give some extra credit to McNabb, I don’t know if any of these quarterbacks besides McNabb gets to all of those NFC Championship games with the likes of Todd Pinkston, Torrance Small, Charles Johnson, James Thrash, and Freddie Mitchell.

QBs don't face other QBs. They face opposing defenses. When Randall played, the NFC absolutely dominated the league. The NFC East was the toughest division in football. Washington, dallas, and NYG were not perennial bottom-feeders and the Cardinals were typically average. Defenses were allowed to hit QBs.

In the context of this thread, the hypothetical does matter. In reality, it does not, but this thread is 100% about the hypothetical. Randall was one of the elite QBs of his era and often helped his offense out-score opponents despite having the worst O-line in NFL history. His passing and running was the whole offense. He was a 3 time All Pro QB. He was never unwilling to sacrifice his body on a play in an era where there were almost no limits how defenders could hit you.

I believe RC would do just fine in Jalen's setting with a coach that designed an offense 100% around the things he wants to do. Cunningham had to deal with a HC and OC that gave him conflicting instructions and the tragic loss of QB coach, Doug Scovil who was doing a great job developing him.
