Der fuhrer has his sites back on Greenland. Wife of deputy fuhrer Stephen Miller posted this beauty...

"We do need Greenland, absolutely,” the US president told The Atlantic magazine, adding that the Danish territory was "surrounded by Russian and Chinese ships”.

He said officials in his administration would decide what happened to Greenland, which Mr Trump has claimed the US must annex for its security.

"We need it for defence,” he said of Greenland.

Responding to the latest threat from Mr Trump, Jens-Frederik Nielsen, Greenland’s prime minister, said: "That’s enough now.”

"No more pressure. No more insinuations. No more fantasies of annexation,” he wrote on Facebook late on Sunday.

US military?

Carson City Nevada could take it.

The post WWII order with the US as top dog is over. This kind of sheet is now the norm.

Miller calls the shots and he is an evil person. A vote for Trump was a vote for Miller.

This Venezuela thing walks and quacks. It is a duck. A clear act of war. 150 aircraft, 1000 military personnel, approx 80 dead, and we are now holding the entire country hostage thru an economic blockade of their oil exports in order to gain direct access and control over said oil. It has zero to do with drugs or democracy and everything to do with asserting our regional power and taking what we want. Greenland, Cuba, and others are next. We are there for the natural resources and the control. We are not there to spread democracy or do any nation building. Thats the new order for at least as long as MAGA is in power and possibly beyond. The old order is dead and the new reality has begun. It started in Ukraine and now we’ve taken our first swing. Greenland seems well within reach of becoming a reality.

From a practical perspective the more interesting question isn't about the legality of this approach but rather whether this strategy is useful overall or not. What are the gains and what are the risks/costs? It would seem to me that if the US does actually use the military in Greenland it would mean the end of NATO. I suspect Denmark and the EU may try to strike some sort of deal with the US around the minerals in Greenland in return for an updated NATO alignment.

Trump doing everything possible to get democrats back in power.

It feels like he wants someone to declare war on us, and open up more avenues for him to gain power.

This would essentially end NATO

This makes zero sense. He's expecting the same communist Maduro regime under a slightly different leader to suddenly become anti Russia and pro American. These are not serious people.

Oh, you didn’t hear? He said today he wants to cancel elections. Then he said fake news will say he wants to cancel elections.

He also "lol'd" at withheld medical aid and death counts in Gaza too. Constantly outdoing himself that one.

It's utterly ridiculous how much people whine about how Europe freeloads off of US defense expenditures, when we are the ones who set this system up, and we pay 3.5% of our GDP to maintain an empire over the whole world.

If you time-traveled a Roman emperor to the US and explained to him how relatively cheap it was for us to do what we do, you'd be sending a dead body back in time because he would have had a stroke.

The post WW2 order that placed the USA at the center of the world’s financial and security systems has had almost incalculable benefits for the US, more so than any other nation. So of course morons are now tearing it down.

Well well, I was told all the financial guys were licking their chops at all of the deals you can get in Venezuela and across Latin American after our bombs clear the way. Trump even briefed the oil companies both before and after the operation even though he hasn't briefed Congress. Have you booked your flight yet to Caracas? Or rather has your admin booked your flight yet to Caracas?

When events fall out of society's living memory, the lessons of history are forgotten by the ignorant masses.

MAGA.

A particular group is suspiciously silent about this topic...
