GHWB literally took the military around the planet and built a coalition to absolutely dog-walk the fourth largest military in the world, which led directly to the collapse of the USSR because said military was using almost exclusively com-bloc equipment, which cemented the US's place as a top the new world order.

US having all those bases and a large military presence in Europe benefits us as much as anyone. But we should have know you are all for Trumps warmongering and threats to allies, you will conform to any policy he is behind.

As ALWAYS, Trump is stumbling into the next disaster before anybody gets to read past the headlines of the previous one. The dust is settling on what happened in venezuela and there is no democracy, no relief for the Venezuelan people, no long term control of Venezuelan oil, just flat out stealing as much as they can get away with. Even the indictments on Maduro are already starting to fall.

Grab the headline, declare victory, get your pea brained followers on to the next BS. This is why he will never fix anything, he doesn't follow through, he has no long term strategy beyond the grift. It's just ego and poll points over and over again.

If we're going to have bases in Germany and Italy and Belgium they need to do their part. We're not their babysitters, we're their strategic allies and they'll continue to welcome our presence with a strong POTUS like Trump

Trump (no point in describing the sheer narcissism driving that one) is letting Stephen Miller (pretty sure he has never won a fight in his life) run his mouth about the world only cares about strength and might (concepts he has no understanding on the magnitude of responsibility that comes with it). This is the first time in recent memory that we have people wielding the military might of the US like a cudgel.
