Kliff Kingsbury, Commanders Reportedly Part Ways, What Ar...

The Washington Commanders are making some big changes after their disappointing 5-12 finish to the 2025 season.

Over Patullo? Yes please! I’m not even that big on Kliff but over Patullo I’d almost take anyone.

I do think his firing in Washington is a little harsh though. He had a really good first year and this year I mean they’ve barely had Daniels and when he has played he’s not been healthy.

Air Raid foundation. Likes to run up tempo a lot mostly from shotgun. Doesn't have a great history maintaining his offensive output over the course of a season (teams adjusted and output reduced). Just my observations.

Given the dominant D and the Eagles philosophy on run game and ball security id much rather they go after someone with more under center focus for OC.

Also doesn't seem to play any young players. Sticks with the oldies, even when the younger players produce.

I live down in Commanders Country, and I don't think we need any of that.

I would go searching under the Sean McVay tree.

Nah, we can do way better. Just my opine.

can we just get Kellen Moore back? Lol

I'll be disappointed if Dinglebury was the hire. But if he was, I'll probably find myself talking myself into why it can work, ha.

Read this article and then decide if you still want Kliff Kingsbury.

Commanders offense doomed by coordinator's fatal habit

Kliff Kingsbury continued to make the same mistake over and over again, costing the team valuable points.

Being too simplistic is definitely a concern. We’ve just had that and we all got fed up and bored of it. So that’s definitely a put off.

That said if the reports of Jalen are true… That he limits what an offense does then maybe he and Kingsbury could be an ideal combo? Kingsbury can work a simple offense and Jalen can then run that simple offense.

Good and bad, we've been running a simple offense for years with different coordinators - if KK can make Jalen and the offense effective, then that's the goal.

I prefer McDaniel(s), as I think the scheme is better - but it demands a lot of things Jalen hasn't done, so I would expect another derivative of the Siri offense.

I don’t think Kingsbury is a good fit.

  • simplistic offense

  • Predictable

  • College-like offense

  • Heavy passing game

I know Kellen Moore had a reputation as a pass first coordinator and he certainly adjusted but we need a guy who’s going to run the ball. We need to revolve the offense around the running game and not Hurts passing the ball. It took 4 games to realize that last year after going 2-2 and once it clicked we went on to win a Super Bowl.

I live in Commanders Country.

Can confirm:

  1. Offense becomes predictable to the defenses.

  2. He tends to stick with veterans, avoiding playing draft picks even when they show they can play.

This is not the guy you want.
