The ultimate fit. Alabama, 20 years old. 6’7” 370. Best run blocker in this draft or in most drafts. Perfect for Stoutland U. Rare in-line strength. Rare agility for size. Eagles love these types and have success with them.

Shades of Andrews, Mailata, Jordan Davis…huge human beings with unusual movement. Could learn the right side behind Lane for a year, maybe even start at RG in the process.

Proctor is intriguing, but I see him as a guard.

we will be needing a new RG

Sure - but do you draft one in the 1st with theoretically nowhere to play as a rookie. I think Steen's future here (or lack thereof) is a combination of $ concerns and that he can be upgraded upon... but that said, I'd expect him to beat out Proctor at RG in his contract year.

Don't rate Proctor at all and especially not where he'll be (over)drafted, I'd take Trevor Goosby or Caleb Tiernan from the second round on, they're better value picks especially to sit awhile while Lane tries to hang on.

Proctor isn't that close to Fano or Mauigoa (and I don't think they're worth Top 10 picks either), he's being drafted on size and looking good bullying smaller guys who won't make the NFL with his size rather than proper technique, plus he reported for pre season overweight in College which was part and parcel of persistent weight issues, he won't get away with that at pro level.

I'm not sold on this draft class. I don't see world beaters.

Meh

There aren't many plug in day 1 starters that are worth a first round pick, but there are guys I could see becoming solid starters with a bit of seasoning that should be available in the mid rounds, now Goosby isn't coming out I still like Tiernan and World at Tackle, they aren't going to be ready year one but if you can polish their run blocking technique either could be a hell of a tackle in a year or two.

This might be a year to trade back/out of 1st round and get something for 2027. I haven't looked hard yet though to see if there's more talent than I think there is right now.

If there's a tackle or a corner that's good enough make the pick but otherwise this isnt a great draft class.

Steen will be gone, Lane is nearing the end and Dickerson needs to get healthy. He is a massive guy and seems to be just what Stout looks for. I have also read about Becton wanting to come back.

Where have you heard this? Just rumors?

I have read a few stories of how things were for him in SD. He felt uncomfortable all season, and just took a shot at the OC. I am reading that as he has possible regrets about leaving. It would make 100% sense for him to want to come back to the one team he had the most success with. I'm sure he has thought about it

I like the idea of bringing in Proctor to immediately push Steen at RG with the upside to potentially be Lane's successor, as others have mentioned above. Definitely riskier than some of the other projected first round OL prospects, but Proctor comes with much more upside.

I don't see the Eagles going CB in round 1 again so soon, but perhaps in round 2? It's been a little while since we last used a first round pick on the OL (2019 Andre Dillard).

The thing with Proctor is that he’s the only OL in round 1 that I see with the potential to be special and the potential to drive an OL like what we had in 2024.

I see other guys that will probably be quite good for a long time with a high floor. That’s great too…but that’s not going to give us a 2024-like running game either. If that’s how our offense is to be built, then that wont be good enough.

SEC Network is showing the Alabama / Oklahoma game right now. Hes not playing badly although he did have a dumb false start penalty at the beginning of the second half.

If we want to take a chance on this kid I think we should trade down

I kind of figure like the Tyler Booker pick last draft, somebody with a hole at guard will take the single and select him in the teens.
