So many fans glad that the season is over. That right there should tell you something. I have been scrolling all over FB and other social media and the general consensus amongst fans is relief that this miserable season is finally done. I never in my life thought I would be glad to see the Eagles season come to an end and yet here we are. Plenty of blame to go around but AJ was right all along (I always agreed with him)...it's not just KP but Siri and his flowery philosophy playing not to lose was going to catch up eventually and oh look, it happened during the wild card game. Anyone with a brain saw this coming because we could not always rely on the defense to bail us out every single game. I mean, WHO runs their team not to lose???? I have said for years now that the Eagles have won in spite of him and not because and I am sticking with that. Jalen Hurts is going the exact same route as McNabb not wanting to be known as a running QB when that's half his game and how many times this season has he thrown for under 200 yards. What happened to the RPO, which was so successful these past few years?? Why does Jalen hesitate now when it's time to make a decision?? He has regressed yet again and I believe the OC has a large part in that happening....but the exact same flaws our QB1 has always had shows up again and people are still trying to make it seem as if its no big deal...I guess this is because he has brought us a superbowl but what have you done for me lately??

We all watched the the birds during the regular season and most of us pretty much expected that outcome along the way. Unfortunately, our guts were right all along. Like Jimmy Bama eluded to, they were just boring AF to watch all year. So much talent on offense that was completely wasted due to an atrocious scheme ... basic route trees, high school level play calling, zero creativity, zero adjustments when things weren't going well, undisciplined play, etc. It was painful to watch most of the season.

I wouldn’t say I’m glad the season is over, but I don’t have the sickly feeling either that usually comes with the season ending short of a Lombardi. Sure I wish we were prepping for the Bears, but there is a silver lining that we can end the disaster that is Patullo.

Tom Brady even kept saying it during the game. He wanted them to uptempo it or SOMETHING to get it going. Nope, same ol crap we saw all season long...frustrating to watch and a complete waste of talent....rest the starters FOR WHAT??? Siri needs to go....KP needs to go....

A bunch of us were saying there were problems months ago when we were barely winning

Some pushed back and said we shouldn't complain after a win. They had their heads in the ground and it was always "a win is a win"

Until it wasn't

Same thing in 23. You don’t worry about style points. You win and move on. You win and move on. Both years we were winning, until we weren’t.

Exactly. The way we were winning at times was sheer luck and very ugly and playing not to lose...somehow, this looked WORSE than 2023.....

If we won a game or 2 in the playoffs before getting bounced out, they may have used that to foolishly convince themselves things weren't as bad as they seemed and perhaps try to run it back "as is". The early exit could be a blessing in disguise. First, it should lead to Patullo getting fired. He never should have been given the title of OC in the first place (you don't throw the keys to a Lamborghini to a 16 year old who is just learning to drive). Second, if there isn't a trophy at the end of the season, then who gives a sh!t in which round we lose and this results in less wear and tear on their bodies ... gives them more time to fully heal heading into the new season (seems many were still dealing with injuries when this season began from the extended season last year). And lastly, we end with a better draft position (we are locked in at 23 ... which is obviously better than 28 or 29 had we stayed in the ring for another round or 2).

Yea. But at least Mcnabb was a way more talented passer than Hurts and did more with less.

I would not called this season a miserable one. To be fair 1998 was miserable, 2005 was miserable (second half of the season), 2012 was miserable.

2025 was a hard season tho. The expectations were so high with the SB win and knowing the potential of this team.

But you have all the talent in the world if your players are not motivate enough, if the preparation is not good enough, if the coachs do not know how what they are doing the talent will not be enough

I totally agree with that....I often wonder what a prime McNabb would have done with these weapons, particularly the WR's....I mean, he had Westbrook but Saquon is honestly an upgrade....

In all my years watching games no matter how bad we were in a season I was always into the games... I found myself repeatedly being bored during games this year like legit BORED... It's crazy to me that this is probably the most talented offense we've ever had and it's been one of the worst... Coaching changes need to be made the majority of the failure of the offense has been because of siri and kp... Both should go but my guess is siri stays and kp goes

I am not lying to you....I said almost that EXACT same thing to my wife last night. How incredibly boring this talented team was to watch this season and I have been a fan since I was a child back in the 80's.....

Yeah I recall one game I was really debating on going and doing something else because the offense was just so boring to watch it was awful this year

Im not glad its over, but there is some sense of relief. Even if we barely pulled this game out we werent going to beat the Bears, not playing that way. Which is the way we played all season, below our ability, most notably on offense. Nick and KP are mostly to blame, but Hurts inability or reluctance to run is taking an important dimension from his game and the offense in general. KP will be gone, but Hurts will still be our QB and regardless of whatever genius OC we hire, Hurts needs to use his running ability or he’s simply not a winning NFL QB - its imperative as its nearly half his game. So fire KP, get an OC that can call a great game, utilize Hurts the way he should be, and keep Nick the hell out of the offense’s kitchen.

Here’s to next season🍺

Yes AJ was right about the season but he was part of the problem last night. If he would've caught one of those passes that was there to be had we win the game. He just didn't make the plays when he had the opportunity

I’m in a UK Eagles fan group… I’ve been part of the group for a year and I absolutely love it. I love being part of another community (Like this one) with people from the UK going through the same things. And I’ve loved discussing the Eagles all year etc. But I can honestly say I’ve not enjoyed this season. We haven’t been fun to watch on offense. It’s been a struggle and it’s been so so frustrating.

I’m sure we all suffer with in game anxiety. The ebbs and flows of a game. The tension etc. That is all part of being a fan and that passion and desire to win and be the best. But I’ve not really at any point looked forward to games. Never mind the in game nerves I’ve not been excited to watch this team because they’ve been flat out bad to watch on offense all year.

I actually said to my partner last night… I was more angry and annoyed that the damn Niners won and are still in than I was that we’d lost. There was a real feeling of relief.

I am not happy the season is over but I am not upset about it. This is was the same throughout the whole season and we were foolish to think we would change anything. Hopefully with this early exit we are able to make the changes needed to maximize our talent. 🤞

I don't think anyone reasonable, watching this entire season, should be enraged or even angry at witnessing the game yesterday. It played out like the season played out. No adjustments, no thoughts, no nothing. Players playing poorly, or being temperamental. Them losing in the wild card rd. is very disappointing. But, it isn't surprising.

It’s crazy that this team is coming off a Super Bowl victory and fans aren’t even mad they didn’t repeat. We all just wanted it to end because it was so hard to watch. The offense was so boring, it got to a point where I didn’t even want to watch. Every game was predictable and certainly makes you wonder if there really is a script.

Superbowl hangover is real

Besides JD, Jalyx and maybe Q who on this team played to the same level as last year?

What a bunch of revisionist history BS.

Everyone knew they had massive problems on offense from week 1 on.

All nostradumbas said was that it was all Hurts fault instead of Patullo.

All season long they said that McKee would fix things.

Brady was right. It’s almost as if they wanted to run the clock out in the 1st quarter every game. No tempo at all. Hurts ran the play clock down to 1 or 2 every play. Just pathetic.
