Posted Tuesday at 12:31 AM2 days Bringing this one back. If he doesn't get a HC job bring in another Bull Dog :)As the Ravens' OC (2023-2025), Todd Monken led an elite offense, peaking in 2024 with an NFL-best total offense (424.9 YPG), rushing offense (187.6 YPG), and red zone TD efficiency (74.2%), achieving the first 4,000+ passing/3,000+ rushing season in NFL history. While the offense was historically dominant in '24, it struggled in 2025, ranking 11th in scoring despite finishing 16th overall, leading to criticism and a downturn in QB Lamar Jackson's stats, though Monken's overall tenure (2023-2025) saw the team with a strong 33-18 record.2023 Season HighlightsElite Red Zone & Rushing: Ranked 1st in red zone TD percentage (67.9%) and rushing yards per game (172.1).Lamar Jackson's MVP Year: Aided Jackson's MVP season, with the offense finishing top-6 in points and yards.AFC #1 Seed: Led the team to the AFC's top seed in the playoffs.2024 Season (Peak Performance)NFL's #1 Offense: Led the league in total offense (424.9 YPG), rushing offense (187.6 YPG), and yards per play (6.8).Historic Season: First NFL team with 4,000+ passing yards (4,035) and 3,000+ rushing yards (3,189) in a single season.Red Zone Dominance: Led the NFL in red zone touchdown efficiency (74.2%).2025 Season (Decline & Criticism)Offensive Dip: Offense ranked 11th in scoring and 16th overall.Jackson's Struggles: Jackson's stats dropped (lowest rushing yards since 2022, lowest passing TDs since 2022 in 13 games).Criticism: Faced criticism for playcalling and abandoning the run game, especially in the AFC Championship loss to the Chiefs in early 2024.Overall Tenure (2023-2025)Strong Record: Coached the team to a 33-18 regular season record.Dynamic Scheme: Implemented a versatile scheme using various personnel groupings (11, 12, 21, 22 personnel) to create mismatches.Todd Monken 'never saw' Ravens QB Lamar Jackson, John ...Jan 7, 2026 — Jackson finished the season with 2,549 passing yards and 21 touchdowns in 13 games. Tuesday at 09:30 PM1 day My first choice. Did really good things with a mobile quarterback, but his age and leadership skills don’t make him that attractive as a head coach candidate.

Tuesday at 10:35 PM1 day He fits the criteria for me- good offensive mind with NFL experience and not a threat to leave to become an head coach.Leave the old guys to do the coordinating and Nick to run the overall operation of the team and I think we will be fine.
20 hours ago20 hr The more I hear about him and hone in on him as an option, I'm starting to feel like he'd be a really good choice. I imagine he's on the Eagles' radar, but I also imagine we'll have to wait to see if he gets a HC job first.
17 hours ago17 hr I am so open to anyone. With how much Jackson runs would he clash with Jalen's seeming disinterest in running the ball. We do need someone that has a run first mentality. It just can't be any worse than this.... Can it?
1 hour ago1 hr I wouldn’t blame Lamar’s total numbers on Monken. Lamar missed four games and was injured playing in others. The ravens inability to find a star wr for their offense and they still put up numbers in the passing game is part of the reason I want Monken. Imagine what he can do with smith, brown, maybe Goedert back and still have Barkley in the backfield.
