January 23Jan 23 The Eagles have 5 starters who are going to be free agents, 6 if you count Braden Mann. Granted we would only want to replace 4 of them (Phillips, Goedert, Dean, and Blankenship, Mann) while letting Adoree' Jackson and Dotson walk. Plus we probably would like to see Big Fred back too. Problem is there's not nearly enough cap space ($14M after signing the draft clsass) to re-sign them all. Maybe cut Carter freeing up $8M and Elliott (42M) making it $24M. Still not enough. Let's assume the Carter move and we have $22M. With the Howie magic maybe we can get 3 of the big 4 plus Mann back. Since Jahad Campbell is a 1st round pick that leaves Dean out, and no room for other teams free agents. So we still lose Dean who we have a replacement for. Now the draft is becaomming more clear. Barring a trade down and a little luck Howie's desire for offensive line has to once again take a back seat. Last year the consenses was that Cameron Williams would have been a 1st round pick if he'd waited until this year. Let's hope. CB and WR3 are priorities 1 and 2. Edge since there are only 2 on the roster is next. Then we have QB - with the Packers signing McCord we only have 2 on the roster. Safety has to be in there too since Epps is a free agent and Sydney Brown is not to be trusted.Depth at edge, CB (Ringo isn't it), and a kicker would round out my draft.

I hope Eagles keep Dean but he is probably already too expensive for them.Remember Eagles have to decide too what they will need to do with Davis and Carter who will be expensive.I know Blankenship had a down year but i would like to keep him. Maybe his down year could get us a friendly price. I do not know.Philips. With what we trade for him i would be choke if we do not keep him but nothing would surprise me here.To me this offseason is about to improve the oline too. Just a feeling but with all the departure with the coaching staff, the problem to get an OC i have a bad feeling for 2026. I think Eagles will have a regression. Right now I do not like how this offseason stats.
January 28Jan 28 Feeling like a change of the guard needs to happen and much of that offensive money needs to move onto the defensive side. Strategic moves need to be made on offense to move on from some of these older players who keep breaking down.
