After watching the Rams vs Seahawks yesterday I couldn't help but notice how creative both offenses were. I kept thinking to myself "this is what we should be doing."

More than experience, I want talent. Something is amiss though. Looks like several candidates have talked to the Eagles then chose not to come here.

Something stinks.

It's the curse of KP (and Brian Johnson and Doug Pederson).

Everyone knows that the Eagles Line was banged up, Jalen is an uncooperative d*ck, and Siriranni is not emotionally under control.

On top of that, the Eagles have fired 2 OCs and a HC in recent history.

So, if you are known for firing OCs (and SB winning HCs) and scapegoating them for the rest of the dysfunction in the "family", why would anyone wanna be your OC?

Lurie and Howie have poisoned the well.

Everyone assuming the people interviewed turned us down when we could have decided to not sign them.

Anyone else getting nervous? Lol. Go get Reich out of that made up job in Stanford. How about Pederson? We don't need a superstar OC (wouldn't hurt), just someone with multi year experience. Honestly thought people would be fighting for our roster.

Reich interviewing with the Jets.

Day by day this gets more and more depressing. Might as well just fire Sirianni now.

They didn't hire Moore till Jan 27th last year and I'm sure you said the same thing then.

Kellen Moore was on the radar much earlier though. It just wasn't made official until the 27th. This is a little different because the media is making it sound like we've had several interviews and THEY are turning US down. Whether they would have been offered jobs or not is irrelevant because I've read that 3 or 4 candidates said No to us, not the other way around. It's a perception thing at this point

Both teams kept it very simple though. How many times did you see a check down for 8 or 9 yards. Hurts never checks down if nothing is open. It’s either a throw away or he occasionally runs.

True

They're just taking time to get the right guy. I'm guessing McDaniel could have written his own contract if he wanted it but he wanted warm weather, so now it's a thorough process to get the right guy (sifting through championship and SB staff to see what's there) rather than just sign someone 'because this is all taking too long, everyone else is signing people and some fans are getting nervous'

It looks like the Eagles don't have a date for the Prom.

Not an attractive organization.

"Anywhere except Philadelphia" is what they tell their agents.

Absolutely idiotic that he was never in consideration here (obviously assuming that is the case ... who knows maybe we did reach out and he said "thanks but no thanks").

It's possible there is something about Reich that the public is just not privy to.

I wonder if it's an ego thing with Reich/Sirianni - as in, previously Siri was under Reich, now it would be the other way around. Basically, the worker is now the boss and the boss has to become the worker...do you recall anything like that happening in the NFL world? Where an assistant coach became a HC, then brought in his "boss" as an assistant at a later time down the road? Just wonder if that becomes an ego thing amongst coaches.

Yeah I've already acknowledged that possibility elsewhere (that could be the "thanks but no thanks" part).

Man, it's gonna be somethin' if Doyle were to accept the interview and ultimately take the job with Baltimore. If that happens, most people will surely find that as indisputable evidence that the Eagles' OC job is not seen as desirable.

McDaniel chose the Chargers, Slowik decided to be Miami's OC, Zac Robinson chose Tampa, and Daboll is reportedly going to be the Titans' OC if he doesn't land a HC job. Now, it doesn't mean that the Eagles offered, or were going to offer, any of these candidates the job (accept prob McDaniel and maybe Daboll), but if Declan ends up being a real contender for the Ravens (i.e., he wants the job), that could be an indictment.

It’s interesting because the Ravens were reportedly leaning towards Kingsbury and we haven’t heard much there. Even Brady was thought to be possible OC there.

Reich as senior advisor would be ok but honestly they need to move away from that offense. Reich was terrible in Carolina and not very good in Indy at the end. No indication he’s a good play caller really

But the Jets job is awful so if he’s willingly taking that over eagles that would be something

It's what's being reported 🤷‍♂️

I'm not necessarily pushing for Reich, but can anyone tell me what QBs Reich had to work with after leaving the Eagles?

Any coach that tells them the unvarnished truth will probably hurt their feelings.

And I think they deserve an honest interview or two.

"You guys are a mess."

"So, is it just going to be me drawing up plays or can we get some more help?"

"What's up with Jalen?" "If we can't make it work with Jalen, what then?"

"Why does it appear that Jalen can't find the open receiver?"

"What's going on between Siri and AJ Brown? What are your plans there?"

"And, Goedert? You're getting rid of him too?"

"What do you think your draft and free agency priorities are? How will you construct the roster?"

"Why would I want this job?"

We all know they say things to generate clicks. The reporting in the city is just as clickbaity as anywhere.

Casting a wide net indeed.

I often wonder what the Interviews are like.

What goes down during them? How long do they last? Who does the OC candidate actually interview with? What questions are asked? Why is one interview virtual, but others are in person?

Anyone here have any insight? I'm just curious.

Apparently he’s getting a 2nd interview which isn’t a great sign imo
