So, it's hopeless. Jalen Hurts won't try anything new.

Every OC that works with Jalen leaves as fast as they can or gets fired.

It's only a one year gig. Nobody wants it.

Jalen Hurts gets OCs fired because he is stubborn and can't find the open receiver.

I think he's almost guaranteed a head coaching opportunity now, McDaniel I mean. The split between the Steelers, Ravens, and Bills means if McDaniel doesn't get another job, it means he really did poorly in head coaching interviews I'd say. He'd have to miss out on all of those three opportunities, I think we probably come in 5th if our OC job was inserted, ahead of where the Giants were, but probably behind the Falcons.

Issue is, Harbaugh decided to take the 5th because he was going to revamp the organization himself, which leaves stronger jobs available for others. Stefanski took the Falcons too, leaving the strongest three available. The Bills GM being kinda bad might help us out, but that's three jobs people will probably want more than the OC job here, despite our talent, because the goal of being an OC here would to be an HC soon for most people...

And it might be hard to find better opportunities open up than the Steelers and the Ravens jobs for a while - they don't open up often.

Now that McDermott is fired, I'm starting to doubt whether a solid, high-profile OC will be available. We might have to settle for a 2nd tier guy. But honestly, almost anyone would be better than Patullo.

Why? What about Daboll do you personally find attractive? He's failed miserably everywhere he's been, except when Josh Allen was on the team. That says more about Josh Allen than Daboll.

No way. That's not in the cards.

Just because the OC and HC names we know and are familiar with may be gone, there are others just off the radar that can come in and do a great job. They might only last a season or maybe two, but that's likely the case regardless of who gets hired, assuming they are successful.

I was not familiar with Andy Reid when he was hired.

I believe this organization can do the research and find a good candidate, even though it might not be the names we are most familiar with.

I dunno, I hear you about Daboll. He's not my A1 choice, but I don't think he's a bad choice either.

Daniel Jones looked awful in NYC under Daboll. He was outstanding in Indy before his injury.

I am not enticed by someone who allegedly developed one guy that might have already been on track to be that guy. Daboll really has nothing else on his resume to indicate he can do it again.

Was just coming in to post Brady as a possibility now that McD was fired.

With all the chaos in HC turnover impacting Eagles OC candidates, it's only fair to these candidates if we also fire our HC.

This gives them more opportunity.

Ive said everything I can say about Daboll. I just don't understand what anyone sees in that guy. Take Josh Allen out and he's been a loser everywhere he's been. Never developed any other QBs, and never significantly improved any teams offense, but you do you.

Kingsbury would be a slight upgrade from Patullo. It would be another offense that defense can call out plays before the snap. The only difference is that Cliff won't play rookies and younger players, especially those he doesn't bring in. He could never work here.

Why the heavy no on Kafka? I get his inexperience, but did the Giants do so poorly under him? No WRs, no RBs, and he still managed to score points and win games. I'm not putting him in the 'yes please' category, but I'd kick the tires on that.

Why F me and F us on Grizzard? Again, not putting him in the 'yes please' column, but how is his resume worse than Daboll? He could have potential.

Rest of the guys in your F me list have a resume at least equal if not better than Daboll, so I don't see what you're seeing.

F me and F us should be Daboll and Klingsbury.

There's also the eye ball test. I saw them do creative things with Saquan when he was in NY. they schemed him into open space. The Giants had terrible offensive line play, and it killed Jones and them...just like it killed us this year. Everyone wonders why Nick Foles was great with the Eagles and terrible with the Rams and Jags...same reason.

Turning around Allen’s career and winning Coach of the Year isn’t exactly "failing miserably.”
