So he (likely) would still have been close to the numbers in 2022 and 2023 had he not missed those 4 games, we win it all, and he was still frustrated. Maybe because he had pedestrian numbers in the championship game (3 catches for 43 yards). But seriously, we were up 40-6. If you can't feel any satisfaction in that then there's something wrong with ya. Like I said, I think that is just the way he is wired internally ... I think no matter what happens this upcoming season, he will end up frustrated again by something.Yeah his comment after winning the super bowl, he said something about the joy lasting 2 days and said he figured out what drives him is "the hunt" and beating CBs, etc...in other words, to be the best at what he does or something to that affect. Which translates to "only throw the ball to me...every play"

Don’t throw him the ball and he’s going to make it known he’s not happy. The comments he made after the SB showed a selfish player and one that isn’t going to change. That said… trade AJ for a second or trade Jalen for say 2 firsts and a second?
February 14Feb 14 At some point the BS the player brings, exceeds his intrinsic value to the team. Same as TO. Great player, but so much attitude. AJ has been crossing that line for me all of last year.So I think trading him, for a good compensation, makes a lot of sense.
February 14Feb 14 NOBODY wants to play for a moron of an OC. Even the head coach is one, but these new changes might make him want to stick around and see what happens.

I guess he could have just been BSing the entire time. I think he has/had a problem with the HC and QB. I'm surmising.

If the problem was Hurts and Siri- well, they are still here and he would want out. So far he is acting like he wants to be here. He is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma.

It signifies something intensely puzzling, complex, and difficult to comprehend. 🤣

That definitely isn't happening...but I can understand the thought process on it. Trading AJ is certainly on the table, though. I can can see it happening, but I can also see him staying. I won't be surprised either way it ends up. Problem is, if he does stay will he be a better team player or cause issues after every game he doesn't feel he was utilized enough? And the other problem is, if he leaves, can we adequately replace him and what will our offense look like without him? It's almost a damned if you do, damned if you don't scenario.

I just think it’s an interesting hypothetical question.I agree the most likely outcome this offseason is that AJ is moved on. He’s shown that he can’t sit back and not be the main focus of the offense. He has shown even if we are winning that he’s not going to be happy unless he’s getting his targets. And that’s when things are going well… So I mean what on earth is going to happen if things aren’t? And there’s reason to think this season isn’t going to be so great.

February 21Feb 21 After that podcast with the former Patriots? Yeah his time in Philly will soon be over. 40+ minutes of talking and no mention of the Eagles, your HC, the QB? No mention of the season? Yeah he wants out so he’s gone.

It would also be a bit of a nightmare to trade him.I think most would agree he isn’t tradeable pre June due to the massive cap hit. So we wouldn’t be able to get any extra help for the 2026 draft. If you get rid of Brown then we will need to add a WR2 and WR3 as well as a TE1 and TE2.There isn’t much in FA (unless you want to overpay for Dobbs) and you don’t want to be forced into a WR reach in the first.Better to keep him for at least another year.I expect a WR in the first 2/3 rounds however.

In doing some draft research I found that he uses motion a lot and moving receivers around to get them in better position.. this included getting Mike Evans into the slot with motion last year it could work but AJ has to show more effort and love for the game or I’m sending him packing for the best offer I get post june 1.

If he truly doesn't want to be here, Howie will trade him...whether it's pre or post June 1st. The benefit to trading him post June 1st is they'd likely get a better return AND the 2027 draft class is projected to be much stronger than the 2026 class. So it would be better long term to have extra high picks in next year's draft as opposed to this year's.

Most notably, Phillp Rivers drafted by NYG to trade for Eli Manning because they couldn't get all the details worked out before the Draft began. I'm not saying this is likely or anything, I just want to remind people it is possible to get "help" from this draft class even in a post June 1st trade. The other possibility would be one worked out well after the draft, but still involving a player drafted by another team.

Thinking about it perhaps a more likely scenario is getting a vet back as part of the trade, as we won’t want to have to rely on a rookie. My preference would be drafting a rookie to play behind Brown and Smith. Hope AJ rebounds under Mannion and then trade him from a position of strength next year with the rookie hopefully ready to step up.

Wilson was looking way better than I expected before the injury as well. I like how hard Wilson worked to improve in the offseason before he got hurt. So I'm okay with our current group if AJ stays. If he goes, we may have more to work with than fans expect.

The influence Vrabel had on him. He even gave a wink when they asked him if he was going to join the Pats and then walked it back. It was a football pod and he talked about football so it wasn’t like football was a no go area.
February 24Feb 24 I'm still so very torn on this. You don't want to lose really good Football players, but, if he wants out, and you can get a decent haul for him, I would suggest that you trade him. Deal with the ramifications later. I don't like, at all, how he seems to quit on routes. Or short arms some passes from his QB (IMO he did this 2 or 3 times in the SF playoff game). Extremely tough decision to make for Howie.
February 24Feb 24 I am fresh out of f's as to whether he comes or goes. I'm at the point where I would accept any answer just to make this off-season beating of the dead horse end.Thank you for your time.
